Has anyone ever installed the microphone and ecu? Is it worth getting? I seen a listing on Ebay and was thinking about getting one. Whats a good price to purchase one?

I was looking at the factory one I would assume it would have to be programmed at the dealership since I don't have techstrem or access to it

in my Tacoma i think there is a box under the driver seat and i was able to adjust the sensor so when i tap the windows (kind of hard) with my keys it would go off. factory setting was too high because i would bang on the windows and nothing. i made it more sensitive ... was long time ago!

i haven't tried the sensitivity test with the Tundra. it would be nice to know how to adjust it.

I pulled schematics of the ecu and there is a dial you can turn to change the sensitivity. May just get it from ebay. Its priced at 135 or best offer guess ill throw some offers to see how low the seller will go.

let us know where the dial is when you locate it. thanks

is the glass sensor just a microphone feeding the ECU? there is no other hardware involved?

From what I'm reading only the ecu and microphone. The ecu is located attached to the fuse panel at the kick.
