I am looking to start a discussion on how others may have their Tundras set up (equipment wise) for Emergency use i.e. Emergency Management, Fire, Sheriff, PD, Boarder Patrol, REACT, etc.
I traded my old Ford FX4 in for a 2017 Tundra CM 4X4 TSS off road. I am looking for various avenues to equip my truck for such (keeping it looking Bad @ss in the process Economically)

Push bars, Bumpers, Lighting, headache Racks, Tool box, Radio equipment set ups, etc.

Here is a pic of what I have to work with.
I'm thinking accessories will be powder coated black with LED's mounted to such Items.

I am interested to see what everyone else has for their setup.
Any and all Idea's are appreciated. This will be a work in progress.

    Thank you all,
    Ed

Are you an official public safety responder? If not, then please don't!

I am, I am with the Oklahoma County Emergency REACT Team 2620.
We work with our local law enforcement and Emergency Management on a volunteer basis.

Here is a Pic of my team.

The Black Ford FX4 was the truck I traded in for my Tundra.

Thanks for your volunteer service. Check with the law enforcement and Emergency Management that you volunteer with there and verify what appliances you are legally allowed to have. In NC, there are limited items that are legal to add on a non-publically owned vehicle. None allow the volunteer responder to supersede any traffic laws such as speed limits, stop signs/lights, etc. We see quite a bit of that locally with VFDs, and they are either promptly removed from the service or ticketed.... hence my friendly advice to you. There are also many posers out there too..........

I understand what you are saying, sometimes "others" get a wild hair and make the rest of us look bad. As far as the equipment, I am planning on using my original stuff except the hard mounts like Headache rack, push bumper with winch, tool box, where to mount battery bank and radio equipment for Tundra specific, if that makes any sense.
same stuff just different mounting apparatus is all. my local guys here pretty much use ford and chevy, so I am pretty much on my own with this Tundra.

I checked already with Setina, they only make for the FJ and Land Cruiser, not Tundra. That was my first choice lol

    Thanks for the suggestion.

I looked at a number of different push bars for the tundra and most weren't that stable in my opinion. They had horizontal movement of about 1 inch. I went with the Go Rhino Wranglerguard and they are a beast. They had two delivered and both were scraped up direct from the factory and a deal was made on the second unit. I actually had a local company sand blast them and do a whole new powder coat for $200 and it ended up being a better quality. The issue that seemed to make the difference between the Go Rhino bars and the other brand were the mounting brackets from the other companies were not that solid or thick. The ones for Go Rhino were absolute beasts. Here is a pic of the finished product. Hope it helps. I also mounted a 30 inch Rough Country Black Series LED bar.

That is great Info! Truck looks great too! Do they have a winch plate for this model?
Love the vertical bars this would be great for pushing as long as there are rubber pads on them.

They have a rubber pad option you can buy for them, I had them on my previous truck, there were like $20 bucks, no big deal but it is hell to get them on....elbow grease and soapy water. I do believe they have a winch version too. Check the Go Rhino website and check it out. I don't know if they updated their website information, but it didn't show for the 2017, but confirmed the 2016 is the same, the truck didn't change between 2016 and 2017 and obviously from the picture I posted, it works for the 2017. We originally put a Westin push bar on it that already had the rubber on the bars but it shaked rattled and rolled and Westin's 'tech support' said that was normal...as such I had them removed. The LED bars are great and installed perfectly. I also had some installed on the rear under the bumper with some plasmaglow switches mounted installed inside the cab. All work wonderfully. Here's the rear pick in case you were curious on potential items for your truck.

So you use CB and GMRS radios and a couple repeaters? Why the need for the emergency lights? Just curious.

Thank you for the heads Upserved! I will definitely mark off the westin.

DVYota, The purpose of our lights is for our safety while assisting our local LE whether it be a traffic accident or traffic/pedestrian control.
Yes we do operate on GMRS frequency as well as monitoring for the PD / EM.
We are not police officers, we just enjoy helping them stay safe as well as our community.
