Ah, got it! Makes perfect sense. I have a 1964 Belgian made Browning super imposed 20 ga over and under. Only use it for quail, pheasant, and dove. It was my Dads, can't part with it ever.

But you should have no problem shooting it.1964 will have PROOF Steel and will be fine shooting modern Shot shells... Nothing wrong with a safe queen which yours is not...

    Please who did insult???

A SAFE QUEEN is a firearm that has been shot very little if any, BUT has been kept in a safe and takes care of. There is no reason to believe that it is not safe to shoot... Again who did I insult?? I did nothing but spoke the truth...

I don't have to PM you.

    1) You assume and state he knows nothing about SAFE QUEENS or FIREARMS in general. Not sure how else I can spell this out for you. If this person doesn't want or feel safe shooting a weapon for whatever reason, I'm pretty good with that. You know, kinda like someone having a few beers and deciding to get an Uber vs taking a chance driving. Hopefully you are still with me.

    2) He @tigerfan00 may know plenty about firearms and has not said anything in this thread or others that would sway me otherwise. You don't need to be a gunsmith to make good or personal decisions on weapons one owns.

Yeah I'm not really clear on how my decision to not shoot some of my guns and call them safe queens means I know nothing about firearms

It's cool though bc I'm not gonna get into a pissing match here because of an opinion on terminology

Why do you or tigerfan think that the term safequeen means "A WORN OUT WEAPON THAT IS NOT SAFE TO SHOOT???" The term QUEEN means pampered, taken care of, not abused so that term says it all? I'm 60 and been around weapons for 52 years, I've been in the military. Tell me why you two believe the opposite then i might see your reasoning.

Keeping a weapon in the safe doesnt make it a safequeen. Not per my definition anyway. By some of you maybe. We will just have to agree to DISAGREE...

A disagreement in terminology doesn't make someone stupid in any given arena of discussion either

    stupid...know nothing...whatever phrase you used

it was extremely condescending based on your OPINION of use of a TERM

You have no clue what my background entails, or my training or knowledge on guns, or WHY exactly the three specific firearms i've chosen in this case to call safe queens are that for me

Well I went back and read what I posted. It was condescending. I really didn't mean to sound so harsh. Patriot and I have the same definition of a safequeen. Used little and shot less. I did not mean for my comment to sound condescending.. I just put it out without thinking.
    Tigerfan00 I am truly sorry...

76 degrees here a slight breeze and an awesome range day. Pushed 200 rnds though my new FN 57 and I am hooked! Love this pistol. Not one hicup. Also excersised my Glock 30s before leaving.

A beautiful day and I had the range to my self for a few hours. It just does not get any better than this for $7. I am going to train more with the 57 and get more dialed in and seriously tighten up my group.
I usually train/shoot @5,7,15,20 yards. I still practice body armor drills amd instinctive shooting from my former career. Just a habit I guess.

    image.jpg
    Only 20 yds.

    Empty Range..love it.

Thanks bro! I really love range time. May give a whirl at EDC with the 57 after I get dialed through more range time and just training with it. Man I really enjoyed and had fun shooting it.

Check out N82tactical.com some time..I have not found a more comfortable IWB.

Took the FNH 5.7 to the range today and burned through 150 rnds, not one hiccup. A fun accurate pistol to shoot.
