and yeah, the box is heavy AF isn’t it? That plus skids plus stereo is going to fatten up my rig a bit. I need to get the gears going. Can I park my truck at your place and harvest my thirds? :)

@shifty` since you know everything else (side q, ever thought about going on Jeapardy?) how about some suggestions for my next batch of FBC stickers. I’m almost out after the first round of 1500 from vista print. I’d like something a bit nicer this next time.

On a positive note, 1st drive since overhauling the valve covers, only 10 miles but that's plenty enough to have generated a drip or two previously.

I was concerned about some oil I saw on the dip stick support after pulling the truck forward 10ft to get it in the garage after wrenching (spot boxed in red here). It left me thinking cam shaft seal leak or something else in the front of the block could still be leaking.

Good news is, after that 10ish mile trip, I see zero signs of oil on the dip stick support along that red box, also nothing on the heat shields either side where it was collecting prior. I guess what I was seeing was stuff that dribbled out while I had the valve cover off.

Now I just gotta burn the damn oil off that leaked everywhere, and get under the vehicle to wipe the spillage into the frame and everywhere else for corrosion prevention, and top off... I'm about 3/4 quart low after letting this go as long as I did.

(PS - Still not sure if AT-205 really did anything. I clearly found two fails when redoing gaskets. Driver front lower FIPG clearly wasn't cleaned and done right, causing forward leak. Valve cover bolts had no seals on them either.)

Damn man, hopefully I don't come off like a know-it-all. Not trying to be like that.

I don't do graphics. My neighbor with the brewery does though. All I'd say is, if your products focus on Toyota excusively and you're not limited to B&W consider incorporating the Toyota racing stripes colors somehow?

    Survey says ..... YES!

Seriously. that would've sucked. I've never seen a flat rate ship fee like that, then they add shipping onto it? Weird. May be something to call them and ask about.

I'm better with words than pictures.

Maybe it can have a slogan, like "Harness the power" or "Harness your solutions" or "Harness your future" or something.

And, yeah, if the words are that bad, imagine how bad the graphic design would be.

Sorry, I was not clear at all was I? Suggestions for printers / sticker maker shops/people/places. I did vista print last time and they are low budget. Looking for something nice this time around. The "too bad my logo sucks" isn't something I intend to fix quite yet, though if anyone knows someone with logo / graphic design I'd be game on that too.

Best bet is to sell that jalopy and buy an AC.

It sure is. Although I'm working the next few, I'm feeling energized so I may open that thing when I get home to share some pics. I'm really curious about what the re-grease procedure is for the bushings. Maybe they have online instructions I can preview. Upper TC control arms require loosening the bolt. Loosening cam bolts doesn't sound great for that kind of thing.

Looks like although Honda has moved away from the original lines of the Ridgeline, you can get some of it back on any truck.

If I can convince the GM to give me a demo, it'll be a Ridgeline...and then I'll lower it. It's not a truck. There's no point in it sitting higher than Kelly's A3.

In their defense, one of my wifes cousins got a Ridgeline recently. They are very comfortable to drive and nicely thought out inside. Still not a real truck though. They need to make then rear wheel drive and put some beef in the suspension before I accept them.

I was pissing him off because every time he said "my truck" I corrected him "ridgeline?"

I'll take Odyssey every day over Ridgeline. Lower loading height and same hauling/towing AFAIK? Pretty much the same thing only more useful and more passenger capability.

ETA: Oh, my b, 3500 for Odyssey vs 5000 for Ridgeline on towing. Payload is higher on the Odyssey by a smidge.

    I wouldn't tow 5k with a Ridgeline though.

And other manufacturers are adopting. Chevy has TV advertisements for those dumb racks on the AT4.

Unrelated, but 3rd Gen Tacomas have ugly front ends compared to the 2nd gens, but I like their brake light styling better.

Interesting you say that as I found the front of the 3rd gen to be one of the reasons I had to have one. The halogen reflectors on the 2nd gen's are outstanding for that tech but now that we have LED headlights, I have a strong pref for 3rd over 2nd. I think @empty_lord feels the same way about 2nd gen. I wouldn't mind the 4.0 but definitely prefer 3rd gen grille.

I really did like the 2000-2001 Tacoma fronts, don't like 2002+ quite as much with the bulge and vertical bars. But those square headlights are a bit too boring on first gens. I think '97 might be the peak for me in terms of old school looks? But I also wish I had one of every year like Dan does.

I can tell you we service more Odysseys for dumb shit than Ridgelines. Sliding doors that need rollers or cables or latches mostly. Expensive shit that most of the lads (lasses??) in here could sort themselves after they bought the (still expensive) parts.

Also, Odysseys have transmissions that require expensive fluid compared to the Ridgelines.
