Is there a direct swap usb-c module that can be swapped for the factory usb under the dash? My other vehicles all came with usb c ports. Don’t want to use a cigarette lighter to usb c adapter and would rather just replace once of the 3 factory modules.
    Thanks!

Buy a USB to C adapter. I also purchased one for the rear cigarette lighter port.

85532-08040 will replace the dual USB A ports with 1 USB A and 1 USB C. I don't recall the output but it does have some of the USB-C higher output modes, it's certainly better than 2.1A@5V.

Sorry for reviving an old thread, but has anyone tried Part # 85532-08040 in a 2019 or older Tundra? Can anyone confirm if Part # 85532-08040 is direct replacement part for the usb/aux that came from factory? I’m guessing the plug is completely different but thought I’d ask anyways.

What I'm curious about is whether or not this can be done for the 'data' port in the 2020 Tundra.

I haven’t seen a Toyota that has a USB-C communications port yet. When there is one, someone will have to check to see if they made the module into a standard form.

Sorry to bring this back.. again..

I bought the “Toyota OEM 85532-0E110 Socket USB C Charger 20-22 Sienna, Tundra, Tacoma, Avalon” off eBay, to find out the plugs are mirrored. I ended up shaving the inside of the female plug with an exacto knife. The stock tundra harness plugged right in and functions as it should. Figured it was worth sharing if anyone wants “factory” usb-c. Unsure if the output is effected for not.
