I bought this one, the model number is 19033, they make the same tent for the 8'bed, it's model number is 19011
This is the Amazon link for the 8' model - Amazon.com : Napier Backroadz Truck Tent : Sports & Outdoors

Here is the official link for the tent, to use the discount code.
Backroadz Truck Tent - Napier Outdoors - US
This is another model of tent as well.

Have you put this on your block truck yet? We’ve had a few members on here share their experiences with these… basically that they’re good in fair weather but don’t do well in rain or wind… and the attachments rub and damage the truck paint. Please let us know your experiences once you’ve done some camping trips using it.

I've heard the same about the attachments rubbing, I think Napier also heard this, so they sell sleeves for the straps. I ordered a set of the sleeves, using the 40% accessory discount code that came with the tent.

They also had a CAMO version of the Backroadz tent, that has some cosmetic imperfections listed for $25, so I figured what the heck, why not, and ordered that as well, so I will have 2 tents, for a total investment of $105, since the one I have now, I got off Amazon for $80.

And yes, we put it on the truck tonight, just to get a feel for setting it up. Once the AirBedz we ordered arrives, we are planning to do a camping trip with it. I will let you know how the truck fares after proper usage.

read it however you want, I bought the thing, and felt like sharing, because several people have asked about truck tents, I had a coupon, so I shared it.

Maybe the "you guys are my friends, right?" (a dozen posts total)
    Maybe the generic discount code.
Maybe the follow up strap sleeve won't hurt your truck and mention of a discount -40% Yew!
Either you are just trying to help or you are selling - but no one's buying. Thank you if you are trying to do good. But I doubt it.
However - that tent style has advantages - and limitations. I hope it serves you well.

Literally was just trying to help. I've had several people ask me about the tent when I posted the picture that I bought it, so I was just sharing what I had.
Napier couldn't pay me enough to work for them, I do more than well enough with my healthcare IT job. I don't give a fuck if you're buying my comments or not.
I had a discount code, and wanted to help. The "you guys are my friends right" was a fucking pun, because the code said share with your friends.
Have you ever heard, "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all" Yeah, 100% applies to you here.

And the dozen posts, yeah kinda happens when you get your very first Tundra in 4 months ago.

I briefly set it up in my driveway tonight to make sure all the parts were there, since I bought it "Used - Like New" and I've had Amazon sell me blatantly used stuff missing parts under this label before. No actual camping done yet.

Well, I apologize. You are obviously upset, that was not my intention. Here's the deal - you joined in November 21 and nothing. Never asked a question. Then suddenly on Wednesday, you are dropping names and liking stuff once or twice. Then tent, tent, tent. Tent. Maybe you were holding back for something big, maybe you forgot about this site for several months and got your tent and were excited. But, unfortunately, people who have been here way longer than me, thought something was off.
Unfortunate. Pro tip - start a new account and try again.

I joined November 6th, and my first post was about replacing my tailgate. I didn't have anything that I was happy about to post until I got the tent. I was truly happy about getting the tent, because it is something I was wanting. I've been wanting to camp with my truck, and now had the ability to. God forbid someone posts about anything they are happy about. The witch hunt begins................

I'm not now, nor will I ever be the type of person that just posts thousands of random bullshit posts on a forum over the course of a year. I will maybe post a few dozen times, and lo and behold the time I choose to post, I get a dick trying to call me a shill. I don't need this forum to feel happy about my purchases, or my truck. I will just keep anything I find enjoyable to myself from here on out.

There’s no witch hunt. We’ve had a passel of threads by new members trying to drive us to other sites, drive visits to Insta and YT… it gets old. You plugged pretty hard for this tent. So instead of alerting @alb1k to the 25% coupon, I cautioned him. FWIW, if you are a genuine new member that just bought this tent, I meant to be a good neighbor and warn you about the harm those attachments can cause. I guess you sharing updates and pics in future may lay this all to rest if those -40% off protective sheathes work as they’re supposed to. We need never know if you get anything for your endorsement; we just want your black paint to remain healthy!

    Welcome from SoCal!

Like I said, you are upset. I wasn't trying to call you a shill, I just stated the record. And I think I offered an apology in the event I was wrong or way off base. This is only fantasy camp, so you can call me whatever you want with impunity. I honestly hope this has been an unfortunate series of what - events? That I am terribly misguided. And you are the real deal. And, that you stick around and enjoy the benefits of this forum. You may not like me now, if you stick around, it will likely be in the 2nd Gen . But, I'm a good guy and I look out for my friends.

How does this tent hold up to wind? Can I drive with it installed? I'd prefer to be able to set up the tent at home and drive to my campsite with it ready to sleep in.

Seems like light use and reviews point to it being set up and stay. No movement.

I’m looking for something a little more solid too. Recommendations on alternatives welcomed.

Thinking about custom sideboards, side hinged rear doors and a Soft Topper here, that way I could stand up inside. Also still have a truck when I need one.
