It's a Toyota. There really aren't any common issues.

Like Joon said, there really aren't any common issues with the Tundra. I read last about a poor guy who had issues with his sunroof on a new truck. Then the dealer helped make things worse trying to repair it. But, this is an unusual example.

Make sure they didn't accidentally put a 3rd gen Tacoma engine in it.

yeah, really no issues. just pick the trim level and the options that you want. but whatever you get, I highly recommend the 5.7 and the 38 gallon tank.

    EDIT:
actually, the biggest issue was the price. I really wanted it for free, but they wouldn't budge :D

Sometimes I pop the hood open on my Taco because it feels like they might have slipped me a four banger when I wasn't looking.

1...2...3...4...5...6.....yep, six cylinders in there. Sure doesn't feel like it.

Haha...oh man, I know. I loved the damn look of my Taco but hated driving it. Between the lackluster tranny and shit seating position, I couldn't take it.

I forgot how much I missed having an adjustable front seat and a motor that will cruise at 85mph on cruise control without being schizophrenic!

Seems like some people aren't as happy with their 5.7 FlexFuel engines as they are with the gas motors.

Truth! I had a 16 Taco and the worse was when it was almost red lining going up a hil and wouldn't switch gears. Right then and there I knew I made a mistake getting the Taco. Loved the look but hated the random shifts or lack there of and the no room inside the cabin.

I had a 2008 with 300,000 miles on it and it is still going strong with 400,000 miles on it today. Had a 2012 with 200,000 miles and never had one little issue with it. Oil changes, tires and brakes are the only parts ever put on it. Now I just bought a 2017. They are solid vehicles. My wife's 2011 Mercedes.....now that's a whole different ballgame. It has been in the shop more days than my garage recently.

MB are not been built the same way they used to..Is more like German technology with American auto industry quality..
I love my 2017 SR..the radio sucks..but what factory radio doesn't..I love it even more when I tow my 30' 2017 FR shafta flyte 6klb and is as if was not even there.. Love that tow button..

The only thing I can't did on the truck is the animosity from the American top three drivers..hahaha..they hate us man...

Make sure your get the 5.7L and the 38 gallon fuel tank. The fuel gauge is set up to show empty after only 30 gallons used. This is a saftey feature so the in-tank fuel pump stays cool. If you get the 26 gallon tank you will need to fill up after only 20 gallons burned. At 14-15 mpg that becomes a PITA. 38 gallon tank comes on 16's and 17's sr5 upgrade package and up.

And isn't it amazing how much more mature this crowd is? (with the exception of me, of course)

OMG, First of all i want to say that i did not expect so many replies i was hoping to get few but not so many
I want to Thank You every one for your feedbacks
Here is what i found so far: http://www.autozin.com/for-sale/2014-toyota-tundra
Its 5.7 V8 says on the side) and the price looks good which is $28k , I dont really care that its located in CA because
to save some i will drive anywhere, the only thing is to get as much info as possible before getting on road so wouldnt waste my time.
We will use this truck for a mix of work/pleasure so i hope to get some good looking Tundra

I've had this constant, nagging issue with my 2016 TRD Offroad CM. It seems every time I make some minor modification to it, it quickly becomes apparent to me that I must make further modifications in order to personalize and fully utilize it. Sofa king annoying.

If you're going to buy a Tundra, make sure you have a lot of money! It can get very expensive! Mods aren't cheap. That's my issue. Lol

Buy the 5.7 and choose your color & trim level most pick crewman if your going to need more cargo space opt for the double cab, if personal interior space opt for the crewman. This site has lots of info on what you can do to make it better and your own, but it's gonna cost you $$$$$. Lots of great trucks and advice from actual owners that have tried parts and gave honest reviews. Hope you find one that fits your needs....aloha
