No, I'll let Mr. Diesel answer....see if he can fuck that up as well.

I don't understand the thinking, especially when you drive a Pro, but talk about how bad there mpg, power, torque, etc. Seems to me ya shoulda stayed with ram. Just sayin

Well it's a good thing I got rid of mine then. From the sound of things my $80,000 truck only had another 3000 miles before it fell to pieces. Tragedy averted I guess.

I got out of the Ram because I broke my back and ended up losing my income. I had to cut my cost so I traded my Ram and Tacoma in on a Tundra. My plan with the Ram was to use it as a retirement vehicle for trips pulling my camper. The Tacoma was my daily driver. The Ram's one ton was to hard on my back after surgery and the Tacoma couldn't pull my camper. I traded them both off and settled on the Tundra as a compromise. Don't get me wrong, I love Toyota but wish they'd offer a diesel in the Tundra. Regardless of what Mr. Colorado thinks about diesels their incredible for doing work.

You do realize that if one is working in a repair shop for Cummins you're going to see Cummins come in for repair?? You know I had this same conversation with a Toyota technician about the Tundra. He swore he saw Tundras come in all the time with trouble. He said he would never own one because of this. I have a news flash, I don't buy everything people spew out of their mouths on a public forum. Tell me why someone would ever bring a Cummins with 30,000 miles to a repair shop when anything and everything is covered by certified Ram dealerships under a bumper to bumper warranty at that mileage. Unless you work for a Ram Service Center I'm not buying what you're selling.

I haven't really exaggerated that much. If you go to Ram's website the difference between the 5.7L gas and Cummins is $9200. But repairs are far more costly on diesels. As far as getting an extra 400 ft-lbs out of the engine, what makes you think that the factory axles and transmission are rated for it? Putting down that much power and torque without using more robust drivetrain components makes no sense.

Hold the Line! If you are not holding the line, abandon your ship. Destruction is inevitable without more to hold the line!
    List of changes:
    True Rear differential Locker
6.5 Ft bed option with the Crewmax
5.5 Ft bed option with the Single cab
    Auto up/down windows
    More stock ground clearance
    Misc Suspension improvements
    Auto On Headlights/ Better headlights
Better stereo system which produces less rattles.
A HD option with maybe a diesel
    Higher payload capacity

When did I say that diesels aren't good for work? That is the whole point, and why daily driving them is a waste and not practical. My GMC rides pretty nice when there isn't 80 psi in all four tires (sorry @COMiamiFan), but I wouldn't want to drive it every day.

Personally, you picked the perfect truck for having back problems and ride quality. Your going to have to give to get.

I did extensive research into what the drivetrain I had would safely handle. I had the Aisin transmission which from all reports could handle 700hp. I was only running 615 hp on the highest setting so I felt confident the drivetrain could handle it. Now, there was others running a 68 rfe in stock form that would grenade regularly forcing those running high horsepower to upgrade the components. There's several companies out there that offer upgraded transmissions capable of holding 650-850+hp. I received no reports of axle breakage at even 700hp unless the person was pulling a sled, drag racing on black top with drag tires, running paddle tires ... basically abusing the drivetrain. I had a good safe tune and rarely ran it on the 200 hp setting and when I did it was never flooring it from a dead stop. I'd occasionally bump it up on high speed runs (yes a tuned and deleted diesel can run high speeds--no comment on how fast but lets just say scary fast).

It was a diesel repair facility. We seen Cummins and Ford. Never seen a Duramax. For the most part, we seen Dodges with the CTD.

My contractor wasn't coming to us, he was going to the dealership for repairs. Why would someone do that with a full warranty? That's just ignorant.

I don't care if you're buying what I'm selling. I lived it and currently do.

That's cause the big 3 worry more about your comfort when sitting on side of highway. :D
And Toyota keeps interior simple and worries more about drivetrain and getting you a more reliable truck.
    To me that's awesome.

...and that's why I'm driving a Toyota Tundra Pro. However, you do realize Toyota has not been sitting idle for the last 10 years. The Tundra has essentially been unchanged since 2007 with the exception of the Pro. I'm feeling the new technology is long overdue.

    I don't think so.
How long has Chevy been doing the 5.3L?
Dodge Ram how long have they been doing the 5.7hemi? I believe longer the the tundra. And they still make it, ya sure they added a few more horse power and a little more torque over the years but what good is that when you get to 200,000km (125,000miles) and you don't have that power anymore. Toyota break in period is around that mileage, and still have the power when you bought it brand new.
As for Ford they always changing engines cause that can't figure out they're shit. They had the 5.0 for a long time but not even that engine compares to the 5.7l iforce.
So to me our engines in our tundras are still more advanced than the big 3.

I think the truck rode pretty nice. I had no complaints. It's a truck not a caddy.

I'm OK with no frills basic+ technology. I got it cause it's a truck. I wanted some ruggedness look and feel. I got bluetooth, satellite radio, etc. Too much and it becomes distracting.

Well I checked the tire pressure on Monday, and sure as flies on crap, 80 psi in all 4. Should be 60/80 at full load. Normal should be 60/65.

LMAO. Yep, the 5.3L was something like 99 or 00' in the gen III motors and gen IV motors stated in 05' and still in production.

I believe the Hemi 5.7L was 2003 when Dodge scrapped the 5.9L in the trucks.

Derp, derp, my daily driver needs 1300 ft-lbs of torque and I need to spend thousands just to get the transmission to accept it. I don't care if the factory axles, transfer case, or support systems were meant for it or not. I need smoke stacks and roll coal on the stupid assholes who don't drive deezul trucks. The Tundra needs to have a 6.7L Cummins! I have diezul, why it no pull?!

Tundra problems that need to be fixed:

    The headlights suck
    The fog lights suck
    The interior lights suck
    The back up lights suck
    The cargo/cab/bed lights suck
They ALL need to be LED

The windows need to be auto up/down

Chrome does not EVER need to be on the inside of a vehicle! It is blinding! Who's brilliant idea was that?

Bed lighting needs to be standard nowadays. Separate your self from the other manufacturers.

The back up camera needs to have a full time option when driving. It's nice to keep an eye on what you're towing.

Driver's side "Oh Shit" handle needs to be mandatory on all models.

Shape the hood so it doesn't hold water.
