I just started hearing noises when braking in my 2016 TRD PRO and I just wanted everyone's take on it. It is a metallic sound like two pieces of metal lightly tapping each other when the truck stops and a sound like an old spring extending when I release the brake. And of course it wasn't doing it when I tried to make it happen.

I might just be a little paranoid because I have a road trip coming up. I'm thinking about taking it in to get looked at because it's still under warranty. Anyone think I'm worried over nothing?

I am having the same noise in my 2017 TRD PRO. I don't know what it is and it's very annoying, especially for a brand new Truck.
I am hearing the sound inside the truck when releasing the brake pedal. Sounds like an old spring popping and ringing. No sounds from outside the truck.

Sounds to me like the metal backing on the pad moving just a little against the piston. If you're up for it, take you brakes apart and pit some brale specific grease on the surface of the pad backing where it meets the piston. I had that problem once on a GMC, it's a popping sound just before you stop.

Mine went away. It only lasted the one day and I still have no idea what it was.

This is happening on mine '17 PRO after I went 4 wheeling a week ago. It seems like it's going away but still happens if the truck is parked (over night) then when I start it up and slowly back it out of the garage the sound described above happens.

Would 4 wheeling cause this? Truck only has 5400 miles on it and it's a daily driver, in other words I'm not 4 wheeling everyday nor was the trail I went on difficult.

    Thoughts? Thanks.
