Well after years of saying I want to get back into racing hare scrambles, I finally made the first step.

Just added a 18’ 250XC to the fleet. Currently prioritizing the long list of things I would like to add to it. I need to choose cheaper hobbies.

Now I just need to make the time to ride.

I was looking for a 300 but everything else on this one fit the bill so I went with it. So far so good.

If you can, I would go with a 17+ for the counter balanced engine.

Very nice bike. Bummer on the pipe. Hopefully it could be repaired instead of replaced.

I have 2 pipes that I need to send off to be worked on, friends of mine have used Pacific Crest pipe repair but looks like they may be a little flaky to deal with. Has anybody used Front Range pipe repair in Golden Colorado?

17+ are MUCH smoother!! You made a good choice. The 250 will pretty much take you anywhere you need to go. The 300 is just more torque to tire you out faster...

I can’t believe how smooth it it, it feels like a 4 stroke in more ways than one.

I hope so. I weigh about 165, it seems to lug me around just fine so far.

I've used Pacific Crest quite a few times in the past, but this was 10 plus years ago. Everything was always fine.
But, I do think I remember reading the original owner sold the company to an employee.

Took the ol' KTM on its 3rd ride since I picked it up over Thanksgiving. My third time out after not riding moto for over a decade. Felt intoxicating to hit a couple of jumps and fly again! Tried to get a good gopro clip, but still learning angles and what not with the camera. Was only able to put in 2hrs and was physically whooped after!

LOL...4.5 hours, that's next door. I currently have to drive 2.5 hours for single track. I drive right by Moab on the way there and on the way back. Plus am planning on grabbing the Jeep (which resides in St George) and heading to Moab 1-2 days after I arrive.

Another Bray post for the Tundra family. We released a all new goggle in the Aries Goggle this past April. If anyone is interested let me know these goggles have injection mold lenses with a lens locker system that makes changing lenses a matter of seconds. These goggles are in direction compeition with the 100% Armega - EKS Lucid - Oakley Airbrake. Here is our website again for anyone wanting to check it out. www.braymfg.com

I recently went to watch one of the AMA hard enduro races in person.

Those courses are insane. I have a lot of respect for the guys and girls that race them.

Went and rode the old track on my folks property a couple of weeks ago while back home for an unexpected death in the family. I called them up before heading back to see if it was worth bringing the bike or if I should ride elsewhere. Old man said they hayed the field and the track wasn't bad.... just needed to line trim the faces.

Definitely not the case. I rolled over the hill and realized I'd be out there for over a week cleaning up if I really wanted to ride.

Said screw hit, hit the doubles a few times then went 30min south to ride a different track. Just thought some of you would get a kick outta this - I can't say I've ever ridden a grass track until that point.

Finally able to cross “get back into hare scrambles” off my list. After a 20 year hiatus I raced and finished two this season. Had a blast and fortunately didn’t fall in either one. I can’t get over how awesome these transponders are. Nothing like going through scoring to see what place you are in, then post race get to analyze your lap times, time behind leader, etc.

haha agreed, I can’t imagine what it would be like if KTM/Husqvarna/GasGas wasn’t still in the 2 stroke world.

It was an absolute blast. haha

    No, California. Ridgecrest area.

This one was my 2nd race. First race was on my 2021 300XCW, the 2nd on my 2018 500EXC
