Have you attempted to file with Toyota corporate or taken anything above the local dealership?

I guess you all just jump in like I stated early that the truck spent a week at a southern dealership they told me it was a northern recall and that it was modified to hold the frame together

So escalate it to corporate instead of dealing with a privately held dealership

The weld plates may cause more issues in getting Toyota honor anything but if one dealership won't handle it, go to another or call Toyota direct

So the dealer sold you a truck with a modified frame? Did they disclose that in the sale? Might be one of those cases of buyer beware and you maybe SOL.

I sent the pictures to a Northern dealership and told them about the truck they claim they are waiting a response from the big boys owners what ever you want to call them . When they fist look at the pictures they told me to bring it up Then I told them that the southern dealership stated that the big shots said don't mess with it because it was a northern recall and that the frame was welded back together My mane beef is that the vin # comes up on the frame recall Truck from Boston bad frame noted by a dealership. And I heard that Toyota sued Dana the American manufactory which made these frame the gained a lot of money from that If that is the case they need to fix every one on that recall list that comes forward with a problem. that's the only write thing to do if these frame where treated properly the modification would not have been done

I guess the bottom line is we can all jump on the band-wagon and yes-nod until the cows come home. But you're beef is with Toyota, and only they can give you the final answer.

Yep, pretty much, but because of the frame plate I'd bet Toyota will likely tell him to pound sand regardless of warranty or recall etc etc
