Anyone with this head unit have a Front facing camera hooked up? I installed mine recently and most every time I brake to stop or slow down, the camera comes on then goes off when I start to accelerate. I have check the settings and they are unavailable for the front camera.

How did you hook up the camera? Should have been signal and then power/ground.
Power should have tapd into the accessory power.

Yes, Power to the accessory, ground to the truck, Signal to the head unit.

So let me tell you what I did. I switch inputs. I reflashed the maestro, the head unit had no update. And it still flashes front camera while braking. I have notice it only does it with Android auto.

There is a setting that turns the camera on when below 7mph or 5mph (I forget which one), so you can use the front facing camera when you pull into a parking space. There is a setting on the radio to turn this off. Tomorrow when I am in my truck I will find the exact setting for you and how to get to it.

Is there a secret menu? I went through all the menus and couldn't find any settings you referred to.

Forgive me for jumping in on your thread, but I'm desperately looking for help...

I have the Kenwood DNR1007XR installed and the Android Auto keeps dropping out. I can't even take a short local trip without it dropping out, sometimes even restarting the unit! I've updated the firmware on 3/27/22 with no change. It happens weather I have my phone plugged in via USB or over Bluetooth.

    Any ideas?

What kind of phone? And has you phone and app. been updated? To me it sounds like your phone. Do you have a old Android phone or someone else phone that you could test?

Same head unit and I have same issues. Which is odd since speed sensor isn’t connected.

This is normal behavior of the unit and you can't turn it off even though there's a menu option that seems it would.... It does not.
