I have weather tech mats in my truck. The driver side has the hold downs to keep it from moving. The passenger side does not. It has the spike on it that should hold it in place but sadly it doesn’t do the job. Anyone ever try to install the same clamps from the driver side into the passenger side?

    Too many, but not enough....
you can buy the toyota parts to install the driver side hold downs on the passenger side. Problem is they only sell them in packs of 10 I think. Maybe the dealer would have individuals. Or, do what I did with my husky's, which is free, and put the front seat bracket bolts through the floor mat. It will never, ever move and you can just lift them up and vacuum underneath it.

Get the hook side of Velcro and stick some strips under the mat. It will grab the carpet and not move whatsoever. 3.5 years and no passenger side slip issue.

That’s why I threw away the WT’s and replaced them with husky liners they don’t have that problem. Rear weather techs are nice thou

What @Danman34 said - I put the “rough” side of the industrial strength adhesive Velcro on the underside of mine to keep them from sliding. I had to rough up the underneath of the mat with some sand paper and clean well with alcohol to get it to stick properly. It works great and doesn’t move at all anymore.

Must be different trucks or preferences. My Gen 1 WT don't need anything. Or Gen 4 4R. I'm ready to chuck the Huskys in the 16 Tahoe for WT.
