    Bags on the back, TRD sway bar
    Updated Info:
    2014 Tundra 1794 Edition, we bought a travel trailer 25' Lance 7000 lbs dry weight, upgraded total brakes with PowerStop Z36 rotor, calipers, pads & braided lines, added a TRD sway bar & Firestone Air Bags got 91,000 miles on current OEM struts/shocks. There seems to be a lot of bounce in the front end and I am thinking of replacing them with Bilstein 5100's as the front shocks seem to be adjustable. Any thoughts and any other ideas to make this half ton feel more sturdy with this 7,000+ lb trailer on the back. Thanks

    Is that 8000 fully loaded? Do you have a properly adjusted wdh? That’s a lot of weight for a 1/2 ton so a wdh is a must.

    I would go with Bilstein 4600/5100/6112 and rears 5160.

    The air bags will kinda work against a LDH if not set up correctly.

    I have a WD hitch 10,000 lb which keeps the trailer level, the truck just feels a little bullied by the weight being a half ton, not sure what it takes to help the Tundra handle the weight better, but I'm interested in learning.
    The trailer is 7,000 dry which is why I said 8,000 lbs with 40 gallons of water @334lb and another possible 650!!

    I have this WDH w/h trunnion bars---->

    It’s a half ton - it is never going to handle towing over 4 tons well.

    I would try filling up the water tank when you arrive at your destination (if possible). Reducing the weight by 334lbs will help. Also agree with @ColoradoTJ that the airbags may be working against the WDH. Might want to try towing with them somewhat deflated to test that out. It's a lot of weight for a 1/2 ton. I bought a Titan XD because I needed more capacity than a Tundra but did not want/need a 3/4 ton domestic.

    Sounds like your camper is very similar to ours in size (27 ft) and weight (7,000 lbs dry). I have a Husky TS- WDH (took several times to get is set just right though). Sumo Springs were installed first but I added Roadmaster Active Suspension- HD about a year ago to beef up the suspension and actually "help" the leaf springs in supporting the load along w/ other benefits. I'm very pleased with the set up I finally got dialed in......We just got back from a Spring Break camping trip (camper in tow) to Big Bend National Park which was over 1,200 miles round trip towing and I thought my 2020 CM did great w/ my set up now. I still have the factory shocks but will change them out at some point w/ Bilstein 4600s'.

    2019 CM with TRD OR suspension. Bilstein yellow and blues (4600) all around. Properly adjusted WDH is key. Hitch height, angle and bar hanger position is key. Play with these until the truck and trailer sits relatively level with the front fenders dropping when loaded along with the rears. I tow a 7200# dry Outback 292URL. Around 8000# or so loaded with gear, propane and what-nots. I’ve got mine 95% dialed in. Don’t think airbags would help. Drives great in Tow Haul mode. Gotta add extra time and distance to every driving input to add a margin of safety.
