I have a 21 1794 w/ TRD off road. Stock suspension and tire size.

I tow a 24’ RV, coachman apex nano 208BHS. About 4000 loaded. I use the equalizer WDH. From what I can tell I’m within payload/tow limits.

Without the WDH, the rear sag a LOT. When its all connected, it’s good. Tows nicely. No sag. Maybe an inch.

would I benefit from airbags? I don’t know much about them.
Photos attached are before and after WDH arms are on. And my cat scale. We’ve added a bit of stuff after that weigh, but maybe a few hundred lbs 205F961F-BBE5-4B43-9CA4-56E590800D6C.jpgAA007B46-A3FA-4A1A-A833-B41717506B16.jpg

No, airbags are just going to eat more payload. Based on that scale, your right at or over your GVWR as is. Pretty sure Tundras have a 7200 GVWR at a maximum, and you're at 7240. If you added weight after this you're over payload.

You should be able to fine tune your WDH If the "sag" bothers you, but some dip happens when you add load.

The second picture doesnt look like that much sag to me…

do you fill your bed as well when you camp?

one reason i installed the sumo springs for towing is that the springs are maxed out even if it is leveled out with the wdh. It just bounces like crazy

Your truck axle weights are exactly what my first CAT scale experience showed. My trailer axles weighted 4800#. I moved a 38# portable grill from the bed to the back of the trailer and problem cured. Looking at your second picture I think you are good truck wise but think you need to move your hitch up to get your trailer level. By doing this your tongue weight will be reduced slightly.

Road master active suspension. 10 minute install will help level your ride. The problem with 1794 is the abysmal payload

Ok so do you have any tips on adjusting the WDH? Looks complicated. Any videos you can recommend? Thank you

I have a Fastway I bought used. Downloaded the instructions online and made sure I understood the concept before starting. Seems many RV dealers don't do it right. What brand of WDH do you have and what weight?

Your weight is pretty evenly split between the axles. So wdh is spot on. However as someone noted, the trailer appears to be nose down. So you may want to raise your hitch one mounting hole. Which will then require the wdh to be remeasured/set

Thanks. Upgraded from an Rpod. Just needed more room and stay within the tundra payload. This checked all our boxes.

ive towed both. I have a single axle right now. The single axle trailer being lighter obviously pulls like there is nothing there. The 5.7 can fly up hills with a 4k lb trailer. However i find a dual axle TT is a little more stable. The dual axles on the trailer seem to make it track better and bounce around less (weight is helping here too)

I’ve only towed this one twice. The rpod so small so backing up was harder. To be honest I haven’t seem much difference yet.

Why? Is it the shorter trailer length?

yes it wants to just turn on a dime when backing up, my rig is only 20ft with the hit hitch. I remember my old 28ft trailer being easier to back up in a straight line

Nice trailer! We just got an Apex 245BHS, which is slightly heavier overall but actually has a lighter dry tongue weight. Do you have the "Off Grid" version (looks like it from the picture)? If so, those sit up a bit higher and from the looks of it you probably need to raise your hitch ball one or two notches up. Before the Apex we had a Jayco Baja version with the flipped axle and had to raise the hitch ball up pretty high to get it level.

That’s interesting because this is 10-11k and the truck is sitting dead level with RAS4BD879B5-2EC2-43F4-B28A-77AC72580286.jpg

Interesting! What spacer did you use? I am trying to recall if the white one or black had the larger gap.

I ended up upgrading trucks because my weights far exceeded the tundras capacity. But I loved my RAS

I used the one that’s 40% more tension so it shows more of a gap
