I’m looking for a holster for my Glock G40 for hiking in the woods. I would appreciate any recommendations/advice you guys can give. TIA.

Sell the Glock and get a Sig or a CZ.

My glock 40 is a c23. I have a owc by Bianchi that is perfect. And a kydex one that is screwed to the inside of my console vault. I can take a picture this afternoon if you remind me

I have 3 of them for different pistols. They are awesome and since I'm roundish in the middle, OWB is the only way I carry.

I’d look hard at the Kenai. Chest holster will be more comfortable and won’t interfere with a backpack, waders, etc. The versatility of these is hard to beat.

I would never trade my Glock for either one of those.
    Maybe a kimber

I have a Kimber also, but it stays in the house so there’s no need for a holster.

Glock is the AK of handguns. Tried true and will never let you down in a gun fight. I’d take that over my hk usp45 tactical in an Armageddon situation any day.

Agree to disagree. It’s hard to do better than a Glock without spending more money. Is my Glock as accurate as my Kimber? No it’s not but it cost less than half as much.

I'm just being a goof. The gun you are comfortable and use is the best one for you. 99.9% of firearms choice is personal preference. There's really no wrong answer.

    well back to the question.

For me, I'd look at some thing that can just fit the trigger, something small so you can toss it in the backpack:

    www.amazon.com/BASTION-Minimalist-Tactical-Trigger-Paracord/dp/B07JB4QWJF

or a cross chest hostler, for those really scary moments:

    https://www.amazon.com/Diamond-Guid...refix=cross+chest+holster,sporting,75&sr=1-16

I also have a glock 30 protecting my life. But Sigs, Colts, Kimber among others are locked in the safe. Each to their own, whatever works for the shooter. Instead of arguing about brands; we an argue about caliber. :) Obviously .45 is the bestest.
