I removed the old rusted out rear bumper from my 2010 SR5 and installed a replacement. I took the time to coat the inside of the bumper with a zinc rich primer and then an enamel topcoat. The worst problem was breaking of 3 or 4 mounting bolts. I had to drill them out and tap the mounting holes before the reassembly. I also took the opportunity to scrape, chip, prime & paint this area of the undercarriage. The front bumper is next on the agenda. Also looking for an OEM backup camera setup for the 2010. The truck is wired for the backup system front and rear. Is there a premade short harness piece to go from the socket on the rear-view mirror to the 14-pin connector under the overhead console?

I’ll have to look into that but assume that replacing the entire door panel can’t be cheap. I think I’ll be a big boy and deal with it and move onto some of other mods I want to do. :D

Don’t know how long they have been available but they are a good fit, and pretty good quality for the price of them.

I spent a lot of time wishing it was Spring. I was born and raised in Iowa. Finally got tired of it and moved to South Carolina a little over 4 years ago. Now I just enjoy the weather :)

Yesterday I got some things installed but it was dark for pics so here we go.

    1) added optitron gauges, having some issues detailed in another thread, mainly with Info Button wire harness missing 2 wires and I’m a FFV so the gas gauge needs something for it to work properly.

    2) added the AJT all black knobs bc they are cheaper than new black oem ones

    3) added a Voltmeter and 2 USB port combo “cigarette lighter” upgrade, I need this bc I suspect my alternator is dying or not sufficient for the current drain

    4) relocated the dash light dimmer switch to a place that is more usable for my ergonomic needs

    5) painted a white line on the Kicker bass knob for quick and easy dial location identification

    6) Painted the silver ring for the A/C and the 4x4 knobs after tapping off the icons bc the new ones that are black are too much for my cheapness. Sure, it’s a touch ghetto, but I dont care too much I just need it to not be ALL silver

    7) lastly I got tired of my cupholders flopping around when I put the bench seat up so I put a black screw and washer in the bottom and torqued em down. Then I just kinda looked at the truck for 20 minutes in joy and wonder

    Next for interior I need

    1) a new steering wheel or atleast a nice cover

    2) I’d also like one of those nice full size screens for the head unit like @Shanet421

    3) get rid of chrome Toyota thing in steering wheel

What I really should be doing is add a winch and more recovery and off road capabilities though

Upgraded all of my door speakers today with some Skar Audio. 6x9's in the front and 6.5's in the rear. Took an hour tops, with all the proper brackets and wiring adapters.

Pretty straight forward install. I already have the panel tools along with a zip lock bag full of extra clips of all sorts. You'll have to snap the extra tabs on the 6.5" speaker adapters off and then install the speakers onto the bracket. Let me know if you have any other questions.
    Thanks

Went snowmobiling this weekend after we got dumped on in Northern WI. It was a process to get into the cabin - knee deep to waist deep snow! I managed to bury the Tundra, but was a breeze to get it out with our skid steer.

I wish - as much as I love the look of a lift and large tires, it isn't very practical for what I use the truck for. A lot of highway miles!

So I drove a little bit and the Miles Remaining is dropping, I just haven’t driven enough to see the gas needle drop. Regardless, I think I can salvage these gauges and just run the two wires that I need for the Info Buttons to work, then if I really need to I can find a FFV specific cluster thanks to @FredB32 vin lookup help or I can pop-off the needle and reset it the analog way thanks to @Jeff_5_7 idea.

i did that idea on my JDM orange set just to test popping the needle off and damaging it.
The horseshoe pry bar worked great.

then I decided to use acetone and rub off the orange on the needle, pop off OEM faceplates, and tag which LED’s would actually need un-soldered and re-soldered whatever color I want and honestly there’s not that many bc all the other LED’s light up notification icons. I did use too much acetone and melt one of the small needles bc I was not being patient. I’m gonna figure out how to make the optitron work but wanted to know how to adjust the JDM orange as a worst case scenario.

just waiting on the male pins to arrive to finish the jump wire I need for the Info buttons to work, then I might be popping off the Optitron gas needle. Here’s the cable I am making…

Fun - I've passed through that way several times. Certainly nice in the summer (especially if you like beef jerky :D). My brother-in-law and his family are from there as well.
