Back in Feb 2018 I put my name in on a 718 GT4 and a GT4RS allocation. A few weeks ago, Aug 2021, I got the call that my ticket number is up and they have a GT4 allocation for me to purchase the car at MSRP (have it in writing). I accepted the allocation and sent in my build spec. After 3.5 years of waiting, I'm excited to finally have the light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm still waiting on the 718 GT4RS and will jump on that if by dumb luck I actually get an allocation for one.

One thing I really like about Porsche is their "Track Your Dream" car build roadmap to see exactly where your vehicle is in their build process and estimated timeline and exact place in the build.

Nice car! If you ever get the chance to visit the Porsche factory and museum go for it. Amazing place!

Yessir! Don’t care if the manual is slower than the PDK, it’s all about the driving experience. I’m not chasing lap times enough to go away from a manual.

Can you believe it from when I created this post it was when I first ordered the car? Fast forward almost 6 months later, she finally hit the dealer showroom floor and ready to go home!

    Sweet ride.

I'm imagining the person that waited like you then got a call saying delivery would be delayed because the car was on fire in the middle of the Atlantic...

That is a gorgeous machine! If I ever win the lottery I might get something similar.

Lol, I’ll keep you in mind when I break the news to my wife that mods are in the near future. She’ll make sure I’ll lose a nut.
