    Hey guys! I've been going back and forth on which to get next. A steamer or an extractor? I have a full cloth interior but the wife's car is full leather, if it matters.

    They are two completely different machines serving two completely different purposes. 30+ years as a self employed detailer and I never felt the need for a steam cleaner, not saying you couldn't use one on your car, but it wasn't part of my arsenal. On the other hand the extractor was used almost daily.

    Steam cleaner = hard surfaces
    Extractor = cloth surfaces

    I want to get one of these but there are so many bad reviews on the hose breaking where it enters the handle-and it's not repairable. Have you had any hose issues?

    I've used both...they each have their place. If you have the budget, you can pick up on of the Bissells and a McCulloch steamer and not spend a fortune.
