Turns out my dog just runs to the door to see who's here. He only barks if it turns out to be my wife's parents or brother.

My dog runs to the door, looking forward to HIS delivery of a box to tear up into pieces. He won't get aggressive unless he hears someone messing with the door or similar.

We disconnected power from our doorbell. Blink gives us a more silent alert that the dogs don't flip over. :bananadead:

My dogs don't, 3 corgis. They do however do what I call a chicken bock. Almost like they're barking under their breath or clearing their throat quietly lol they do the same thing when there's a neighbor on the other side if the fence they can see from the house but they're inside

Now that I think about it I think they learned it from my old heeler . She used to do that too lol

Mine used to go nuts but is now 14 and can't hear anymore. Tends not to react to it anymore as of the last year or so. Over time she Went from an immediate doorbell reaction to a slow and delayed one to ignoring it.

Also Used to pop up eagerly the instant one of us walked in. Now it's common for me to walk in while she's sleeping, walk around the first floor For a bit, go upstairs, change clothes, and come down to see her lift her head off the couch with a startled "Oh, you're here?" Look on her face.

Mine go bat sh@#t when the doorbell rings. One is 6 and one is 7 and they aren't about to respond to any remedial training at this point; sort of like me at my tender age. They aren't aggressive, just go on "high alert".
