What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Why are all of our right side tow hooks slightly more bent than the left? Or is it just the eye?

 

They look the same to me. Appears to just be the angle the picture was taken from.

 

It was too cold for a hand wash today, so took it through a touchless car wash and cleaned it up better in the relatively warm garage using some waterless cleaners/microfiber rags. Sometimes the lighting is just right for a good picture, even in the garage!

 

Finally got around to installing some paintedoemparts.com bumper caps. When I ordered them I didn’t do much research, just heard good things about those guys through this forum.
What I didn’t know was that these were overlay type bumper cap covers, so I had to remove previous chrome and then install the new ones. Couldn’t find a single video on how to go about it an easy way so nearly had to remove entire front bumper and then remove every screw or bolt I thought looked suspicious. Took me four hours but I finally got it done. The toughest part was trying to get from behind bumper to remove some small screws that held the plastic perece of the bumper adhered to the cap. For anyone wanting to do it, my advice is: Be careful with the plastic pieces, go easy and you’ll get there!
Still need to take it for a wash but she’s looking purdy.

Next project are install of Clazzio leather seat covers.

BTW: The grill is also from same vendor.

Hit the touchless automatic “Monsoon” wash to rinse some of the salt off this interstate traveller.

 

They are Method 314s. Every now and then I’m tempted to sell them for some SCS wheels, but I can’t help but love these when it’s all cleaned up. I like the RRW lineup too.

i went with 6.5 components for the front doors so it has a separate tweeter. nothing else up front. I have heard very good things about audio frog speakers for the dash if you want something like that

 

i need to put mine in....im not a wiring genius yet so not in a huge hurry

got the bakflip mx4 installed today. ordered some tailgate weatherstrip to help seal the vertical parts of the tailgate.

Looks great. Were you able to take off the front door handles without removing the inner door panel? Unless you don't have the touch unlock feature...

 

2022 TRD peddles, only had to drill for the parking brakes right in the center and trim a little of the back side top rubber trim.

 

Finally had an off weekend so I got to do truck stuff.

Yesterday I redid the lighting in the bed since a bunch of the LED bulbs burned out. I had to redo all of it since the new lights strips had different connectors than the older lights despite being the same brand. Then rotated the tires and change the cabin air filter.

Today I did my first oil change (dealership did all the previous ones) and thanks to the knowledgeable folks here I bought all the cool stuff to make it easier. Replaced the engine air filter and topped off the windshield wiper fluid. And finally installed the Valhalla Shield that I got in December. Some piece of mind with that installed.

I like those. There was a time they had similar ones for the Gen 2

OEM? Can the Toyota ones be retro fit?

 

I’m sure the dealership has them, but might be $$$ versus Amazon $$. I had the same ones on my 07’ Tacoma
