You answered your own question. Bend it back. Shops straighten frames all the time

Bending metal will always make it weaker than original.

    From the poster:
The composite bed when molded has two protruding points that are only 1/2” or less away from touching the truck cab, a follow YouTuber flexed his truck enough to cause those bed protrusions to damage the trucks cab.

I’m skeptical that those nubs on the composite bed would hit the cab of the ‘22 Tundra, even under spirited off-road use. My ‘21’s bed and cab have never made contact, despite running off-road trails out west at 40-50mph. I was even loaded up over GVWR (gasp!!). I’ve also had my truck (which is open C channel in the rear) in plenty of off-camber situations offroad with a rear wheel barely touching the ground or in the air, and my frame and bed have never looked as twisted up as that open C channel HD truck in that pic. :notsure:

Don't doubt that. Just stating that it is repairable

Way more than a 1/2" from the nub to the back of the cab because there's an indent in the cab right at that spot. More like 1".
The nub is the end of the rain gutter and seems designed to keep water out of the box.

Just a tip but best to start with a zoomed out photo first, then the close-up for detail. Hard to get oriented and tell what we're looking at with the zoomed-in version alone.

What have I learned after reading through this thread? It's Toyota's fault for making the 2nd Gen Tundra too wide for the trail, which caused the mirror, door and bed to hit a tree......

I have detailed build threads on Expedition Portal, Tundra Solutions and Pirate 4x4 under the user name "01tundra", unfortunately when Photobucket decided to be asses I lost all the linked pictures in the treads.....

Most likely not. I looked in his channel and he's got a lot of off-road toys. I understand his concern and I would do the same thing than risk damaging the back of the cab. We'll see as more people buy this truck and put them to wide variety of uses.

Well shoot man, glad you still have your truck. I learned a lot from watching you and a few others carve up perfectly good trucks.

It's just some plastic, I'd consider cutting it too.

I mean what could it cost, $10?

They are sending engineers out to look at that trail ASAP. They will then investigate to see if all trails are the same or that was just a poorly made trail.

Yet ANOTHER 22 FAIL!!! LOOOOOOLLLLLL YOTA SUCKS BAWLZ NOW.

In other news, my 14 5.7 with 90k is for sale. $45k. Another $2k and I'll leave the Icon wheels on. REMEMBER, LAST of the V8s and LAST of the durable trucks!!! No lowballers. I know what I got and you won't convince me otherwise. I've seen youtube videos of what people can do with these. This is an ABSOLUTE STEAL at 45k. Not even broken in yet! This is the million mile motor! My loss is your gain. Will consider even trades for a low mile luxury prerunner. No home built, booger welded pipe chassis. Will only entertain EVEN trades for builds by Geiser, DK, TSCO and others of the same pedigree. Must have paperwork for recent (within 3 months) prep. If you catch me on a good day, I'll even pay for your gas to me AND to get you back home.
