Was thinking about getting one of these units for my truck and my wife’s Acura RDX. Anyone have one? Thoughts? thanks in advance.

    Too many, but not enough....
I've considered these in the past but honestly just don't trust them. I've seen hydraulics fail in the field at work. Maybe for a small car but still makes me uneasy.

At least with jack stands you would hear something and only have 1 corner fall a few inches.

Costco sells a 7,500 lb capacity set for about $1,400. I am concerned about safety as well, the preset locks actually release hydraulic pressure when in place. To lower, you have to raise the jack, release the lock, then lower. Will use jack stands with this as well if I buy them…

Can you post a link to the one you’re considering, so we all look at the same info?

Lot of YouTube videos of people using them on trucks. Seemed like the guy from Costco got a return, the cylinders and pump had fluid in them. If I do buy this, will use jack stands with it. Have 20k service this coming weekend, will get truck up on 4 ramps to get the differentials and transfer case easier.

I've owned a Quick Jack for at least 5 years. I only have the 5k# capacity model but it works great for my cars to get all 4's off the ground. I used it to install a King suspension, rear coils, upper and lower control arms on a 5th Gen 4Runner. I've had it before Costco started carrying them. Had it freighted to my work place. Then hauled it home in my 1st Gen Tundra :)

I probably use it 3-4 times a year though.

I've considered selling this one to get one that with capacity for the 2.5 gen Tundra but haven't gotten around to it.

I'm actually shopping around for some jack stands for the 2.5 Gen Tundra instead. Anybody have recommendations?

I'm considering these but not sure they can get high enough: https://www.z1motorsports.com/tools...ofessional-jack-stand-individual-p-22869.html

...under the frame to keep my rear wheels off the ground for my shackle install.

$1,499.99 is a lot, I'm just not sure how much I would trust a single Hydraulic cylinder per side..........
