Just added this beauty. It’s awesome. Kept all of my steering wheel controls and vehicle info settings. A little pricey but worth the investment. Plus, now I have Apple CarPlay. Pioneer 8600NEX.

Looks great. I keep toying with the idea of upgrading my headunit, mostly for sound quality through the factory JBL speakers (I already have an upgraded JL Audio subwoofer and amp for the low end). I have a 2020 so it has CarPlay/Android Auto, but I wouldn't mind a little more modern screen display either. Can you post any additional pics, especially from the side so we can see how far it sticks out from the dash? I've also considered the Kenwood Excelon unit, but there's a bit of a gap there in the install and I'm not sure I like it.

My apologies for the very delayed reply. It’s been a hectic few weeks. Pictures attached. I’m very happy with the purchase.

I would love to get this. I wish I could get it to be installed vertical. Would think that would be cool!
Looks good though but I’m still holding out for now!

Very nice! I like how it sits flush with the dash. What model is this?

It is adjustable to a degree. He chose to install his like an ordinary tablet, if you will. I like the flush mount, imo looks better and looks more like oem than the other way.

Is this adjustable on the fly? Or do things need to come apart to adjust?

I can see using it both ways.

It needs to come apart choose flush mount or vertical mount and then go from there.

Nice! I agree it’s preference on look. But liking what you did with yours. It took a few hours to install either way. Just getting all the components wired together. I added steering wheel controls, kept all of my vehicle systems info on it and of course the camera.

Yeah it is a nice stereo, regardless of which way it is installed it is a pita to install, with the maestro and all the extra bs. I was just outside configuring my amp. still needs some work. Is your apple car play finicky when doing wirleessly ? Way better than stock by a zillion miles.

Phone in pocket can be a little troublesome. Left pocket worse than right. With my phone on the armrest or shifter console it’s perfect in my truck.

Damn that’s a perfect install! How’s the angle for sun glare? Is it hard to see when the sun’s out?

Not quite perfect, left bottom has to come up a milimeter or two, aside from that and apple carplay being finicky. Cant get it to cooperate wirelessly. It can be an annoyance at times, I haven't adjusted the brightness yet, so I am sure that can be corrected. I amstill putzing around configuring amp. Eventually I will get everything squared away.'

Mine keeps saying gps and speed sensor are disconnected even though they are connected. Maybe a firmware issue will correct it, just really apprehensive about doing it.

    Hmm never had that problem.

Are you using the gps antenna that came with the pioneer or the adapter cable to keep factory gps antenna?

If using factory gps with adapter cable, make sure you’re connected to the correct wire from the OE truck wiring. There are two cables that the adapter cable will match with. Only one will give gps signal.

I know I have the right cable for the gps, I also have xm radio which works, I am using the factory antenna, I may swap it out with the pioneer and see if that helps. Just really irritating as fuck is all.

Yeah for sure. I found using the factory antenna adapter cable that it doesn’t get clock/date info for some reason.

when using the pioneer gps antenna in the same head unit in my 4runner, no clock issues.

Something quirky is going on, I have also read about other people losing some of the intel in the display, I haven't lost anything that I'm aware of.
