Have been thinking about the possibilities on adding these to my mod list. I've done a little research but wondering if anyone on here has actually done them or considering also, and any helpful info you may have or direction to go... Thanks!

    Pre-paid cell phone as tracker?
My dad had something on his 66' Impala as a hidden switch that needed to be hit before it would start...I just forgot the specifics of it.

I had a friend who had one on a really nice old truck, I believe it was hidden behind or under the front seat... some guys tried to steal it but couldn't start it so they pushed it one mile and left it... lol. Not sure on how something like that would get wired up, possibly something best left for a shop to install? As far as a tracker, I always see them in the movies :) @csuviper mentions a LoJack setup in possible mod list. Was just thinking it would be a nice piece of assurance after spending all this $$$, plus I think insurance could give a discount??

    :headbang: How about this:http://www.amazon.com/Vehicle-GPS-Tracker-Ignition-Tracking/dp/B00H8AO8WG/ref=sr_1_4?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1433250104&sr=1-4&keywords=kill+switch+for+car

Another alternative using the above kit is to use the fuel pump relay wire from the ECU to disable. Can't go with no go juice. Starter kill is one method . Usually for pre ECU vehicles. There is a lot of different routes you can take. The Amazon unit has GPS tracking from your phone and very reasonable price wise. (rattle snakes work real well too)

yep bank account is running low from it..
Dont use the starter wire. Use the main power to the ecm. Hint hint. That way you can disable the truck even if its running. Starter wire does nothing but start after that its a dead wire.

I have a lot of ties to LEO...family, friends, and I volunteer for a local dept..

My buddy asked me to look into this for him for his classic vehicle a while back....

LoJack is very old technology - in fact, they stopped placing those in new police vehicles. They recommend a solid car alarm system instead.

Ditto on that. Lo Jack rarely mentioned anymore. I like the idea of the car alarm system to be the primary deterrent. That Amazon unit (or something similar)added with would be icing on the cake with the GPS tracking unit (monthly fee of course) You could try the "Bait Car" setup. haha
