Question for OH and CA folks. For the last ten years or so we have made food that the two cities are noted for. Using the last couple for example, we made or bought beanie weenies in KC masterpiece, Cuban sandwiches (Tampa) and Rice-A-Roni (the San Frisco treat, which was surprisingly good). Looking for this year I find Cincinnati Chile and French dip sandwiches. Not wanting to do two mains, I'm stuck.

Any suggestions for either city? A main and a side or appetizer is preferred.

We also do beers, Cigar City, Boulevard Tank 7, Anchor Steam for the last couple. The Tank 7 has become a staple sadly, $$$$$$. So beer selections are also welcome. Could be cheap beer, I've done Iron City before.

I'll start a new thread so as not to derail this one, too.

So my son made me watch it multiple times,
He’s doing all this while smoking a blunt the entire time!!!!
Secondly, how do you finish? Like hulk style and just rip the jaw open? Or how do you escape with minimal tissue damage?

@FrenchToasty - do you have some kind of branding partnership with the Girl Scouts? Mrs. Bandito bought me these:

Haha I’ve never seen those, I’m also a man, so they may have been 1st on the ordering list? They sound delicious!
Today driving home, this car driving next to me had a sticker that said”got toast?”
He also had a super generic explore az type sticker, I’ll let that one slide…..

Personally, I think you need to lawyer up and go after these people.

The cookies taste really good - like super freaking sweet french toast.

The best Cheez-its. I use them for this:

    Extra Toasty Cheez-It Chicken Tenders

    For the chicken:
    3/4 cup buttermilk
    2 teaspoons kosher salt
    3 teaspoons garlic powder, divided
1 teaspoon hot sauce, such as Cholula
1 1/4 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper, divided
2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken tenders or breasts
4 cups Cheez-Its, Extra Toasty preferred
    Cooking spray

    For the ranch dip:
2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh chives
2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley leaves
1/2 cup sour cream or plain whole-milk Greek yogurt
    1/3 cup buttermilk
    1 teaspoon garlic powder
    1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, plus more as needed
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, plus more as needed

Place 3/4 cup buttermilk, 2 teaspoons kosher salt, 2 teaspoons of the garlic powder, 1 teaspoon hot sauce, and 1/4 teaspoon of the black pepper in a large bowl and stir to combine.

If using chicken breasts, slice lengthwise into 1/2-inch wide strips. Add the chicken to the marinade and toss well to coat. Let sit at room temperature at least 15 minutes, or cover and refrigerate up to overnight.

Place 4 cups Cheez-Its, the remaining 1 teaspoon garlic powder, and the remaining 1 teaspoon black pepper in a food processor fitted with the blade attachment. Pulse until the crackers are finely ground, about 1 minute. (Alternatively, crush everything together in a large ziptop bag with a rolling pin until finely ground.) Transfer to a wide bowl or pie plate.

Arrange 2 racks to divide the oven into thirds and heat the oven 425°F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Coat the parchment with cooking spray.

Bread the chicken one piece at a time: Remove from the buttermilk and let any excess marinade drip back into the bowl, then place in the cracker crumbs and press gently for the crumbs to adhere until completely coated. Place on the baking sheets, spacing them evenly apart. Coat the chicken lightly with cooking spray.

Bake for 12 minutes. Flip the chicken and rotate the baking sheets from front to back and between racks. Bake until golden brown and cooked through, 8 to 13 minutes more. Meanwhile, make the ranch dip.

Finely chop until you have 2 tablespoons fresh chives and 2 tablespoons fresh parsley leaves. Place in a small bowl. Add 1/2 cup sour cream, 1/3 cup buttermilk, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, and stir to combine. Taste and season with more salt and pepper as needed. Serve the chicken tenders with the ranch.

You could rename them "French Toasty's Chicken Tenders" - oh, I usually just use whatever bottle of ranch we already have on hand. Recipe came from kitchn.com

It's a good one. Got to head to bed. Need to get up early and give the VA some of my blood. I think they are using it to build a "Super Soldier" serum.

Oooh man! My kids, I mean what kid and man that is a kid at heart, are on a chicken strip bender. This would be a good change up from the normal Dino nuggets from Costco! These sound amazing!
