I thought I'd heard of almost every CG soap.....until this post. What's interesting is that I can find it for sale...everywhere but on the CG website. Let us know how it works for you.

Do yourself a favor and get some Griots 3 in 1 Ceramic Spray Wax. To correctly do it, you should do some prep work (decon, claybar....) but after that, enjoy 6-8mo of water beading up!
I ditched all my other paste and spray waxes, 3in1 just blows them out of the water

Usually water spots will come out with a light polish unless they are crazy bad. Post up some pictures if you can.

I have one of the griots synthetic clay. Works pretty well!

I bought into the marketing hype on that stuff after seeing it used as the first step in just about every one of their instagram before/after posts. I gotta say, this one might actually be worth purchasing from them. The door handle on my Tacoma hasn't looked that good/clean in YEARS. I never really thought about using a specific cleaner, as I always just had a mental block thinking that interior detailers also cleaned. Nope, those just make it shiny and look good, but don't actually clean.

I'm finally jumping on the ONR train.

I use a foam Cannon 99% of the time, this stuff work fine in it? Or can I use it as a quick detailer?

ONR is a great product, but not a foam cannon soap. use as a quick detailer and/or a clay bar lube. also can be added to a wash bucket to help eliminte water spotting. i use this 95% of the time to to do a quick wash when there's just a light bit of dirt on it like road film. if the vehicle has heavy dirt on it, i'll wash it by hand with soap and buckets. follow directions on it. pretty good product tho

yeah, i figured that it wouldn't be the best for a foam cannon, but probably better for a quick detailer. Right now i use Merlins Magic Elixir (Carpro Reset, Ech2o, and distilled water) for my quick detailer, but i'm going to give this a try. What kind of dilution do you use for a quick detailer, the same 1oz per gallon?

directions say 1oz per 2 gallons. i've usually been closer along the lines of 1 oz per gallon though.

LOL. probably. but if doing bucket washes, add a cap or 2 into your buckets to help with water spotting. i have very hard water at home and was just informed about this

I wonder if this would be a good topper as a drying aid. Sometimes i'll do that with the Griots Wash and Coat, (it isn't very good with for washing...doesn't really suds up in a foam cannon), but i'll keep a second foam cannon with that in it and after the regular foam wash and rinse, i'll use that as a topper.

not sure. possibly as a drying aid to help with hard water and or lubricate while drying. but i'm not too sure.

So trying something new out. It’s a spray detail coating from underdog. So new it didn’t even have a label on the bottle. It claims to protect for a year. I only used a 1/4 of a bottle so if that claim is true then the $70 will be worth it. 27DB293E-8F01-45A4-B7DA-246E64B00BF6.jpg

I hate those style of sprayers.

Be interested to see how it stacks against griots 3in1. Any deets on what kind of coating it is?

The sprayer is total garbage. The market it as a Quick detailer on steroids. If I didn’t have experience with their real coatings there would be no way I’d buy it. 62FECB1E-E1AC-4ECF-87F0-E4F1953C3205.jpg

Very interesting. At first i thought that 1yr hydrophobic "quick detailer" is quite a bold statement, but depending on how easily it goes on/off, i guess it wouldn't be any different than Griots 3in1.

How's its quick-detailer-ness? Seems like anything that would last 1yr you would want to make sure the paint is clean before you apply.

Application was very easy. I didn’t have instructions so I approached it just like 3-1. The manufacture did respond and I was right with that assessment. I’ll never find out if it lasts a year because I always clean my truck but I am looking forward to how it handles rain and water. It did leave a nice gloss to the finish. It goes on and off with a little tackiness which is common of coatings. We will see. I would not recommend this product until I see how it does in the next few weeks.

I have ceramic on the base of the truck. Use 3-1 every six months and apply Hydro2 every month. My idea of dirty is definitely at a different standard then most normal vehicle owners but can be appreciated by this group here.

    final thoughts

seems like a good product for those of us that keep our paint protected and clean and just want to give it a good wipe down with something that keeps the protection for more then a couple weeks. Not recommend for a vehicle that needs a good base layer of protection first.

I have the soap and wsp. I love them, just recently started using their stuff to see if it works better then what I already have. So far they work very well and with the hard water I have, it's very easy to clean the car and leave no water spots.
