Should I get another Trimax or is there another brand

The 4R and Tundra receiver widths are different sizes? I never looked at ours that close.

On the 4Runner it’s a 2.5” lock pin and that gave me room to add 2 rubber washers

vs the tundra with no washers would not lock the pin . I see on Amazon there is 2 versions
    2.5” and 3.5”

I think the reason is because the 4Runner is class 3 vs tundra is class 4

Been running a Master for 21 years, still works. Has a rubber snap on dust/crap protector which I think is the key to longevity.

I hate to admit this, but I got the locking one from Harbor Freight. The good news is it's been in the hitch of my Tacoma, Land Cruiser and now Tundra. Probably 10 years now? No issues, however, I don't tow. I just have one of those inserts with the D ring on the outside. Mainly in case someone gets too close but I have used it for recoveries. No issues. Yes, I know...Harbor Freight.

I use the same Harbor Freight locking pin, and I do tow (travel trailers, utility trailer, boat, etc). It's held up for a few years now. I initially purchased one from Amazon, but it didn't fit the Tundra. Evidently the hitch receiver is a bit wider than normal. The HF one fits just fine.
