I'm a little confused about which camera views are standard vs. which trims/packages provide the additional views (top down, front, sides, etc.), specifically on the Limited trim. As everyone knows it's not possible to see different trims or models on the lot... I'm assuming these cameras are part of the "PVM" package, but it seems this option cannot be added with most other packages.

For some context I'm looking at Limited trim with TRD off road. I've come across many reviews/videos where the truck clearly has the additional cameras in the grille, mirrors, etc. (and views on the infotainment), however on the window sticker there isn't any sort additional package listed that includes "PVM" (to my knowledge based on the what's included in the packages on the website).

When building out the truck on the configurator it seems the PVM package is mutually exclusive to the TRD off road package, meaning you can get one or the other, but not both...

Can anyone who has a Limited trim/TRD off road confirm which camera views it has - and whether or not there was a specific package that must have added/included them?

Thanks in advance, and apologies if I'm not doing the best at explaining my question!

Also curious about this. I feel like I've seen some reports on the facebook group of people in Limited TRD OR's that had the PVM cameras and the digital rear view camera but I could be wrong.

this exact topic has perplexed me for weeks. I actually went to my dealer and was told I could not get the PVM package and the TRD together. Wish I could get an explanation of what exactly PVM is. Is it all the cameras with overhead view? If I do not get the PVM will I still have all the cameras and just not get the overhead view? who knows

Limited with off road package do have the full 360 cameras. Without the off road package you have to get the PVM package.

Mine has both but I’m pretty sure the digital rear view mirror comes with the advanced trailer tech package or whatever exactly it’s Called.

With the limited off road it’s called multi terrain view monitoring.

Thanks all! That makes sense that the website won’t let you add the PVM if it’s already included in a package you have selected, but the website is just horrible at explaining what’s included with the packages. I’m starting to wonder if the heated steering wheel is the same thing… the top level Limited package for TRD off road cannot be added in conjunction with a heated steering wheel… doesn’t make sense that they would make you choose between a $6k package or $150 steering wheel. I’m hopeful it’s because it’s already included in the package but who knows.

Thank you for the information. Its a bummer my dealer would not know that or the Toyota website does not do a better job explaining their options.

The heated steering wheel is s separate package that must be included on the build. It’s not included with anything on the limited. This was my build.

You will notice it doesn’t say anything about cameras. But I assure you it has it all.

Very helpful; seeing your build (similar to how I’d build), and confirmation you have the cameras sets my mind at ease.

Too bad about the heated wheel.. I do find it a strange decision Toyota won’t let me add a $150 option if I add the top tier (almost $6k) package. Guess I’ll just have to wear gloves!

    Thanks again!

I love the heated steering wheel. Maybe it wouldn’t be a crazy add on down the road.. I would not buy one of
These trucks without the 8 way softex seats, digital rear view mirror, and 360 cameras (Parking is a breeze with the over head camera), and the JBL premium sound. The heated steering wheel is a nice perk.

You have the digital mirror as well? Do you know if that was part of the TRD OR? Looking at your build again I’d assume that’s part of the Limited Premium perhaps? Hard to tell as neither mention it.

Edit: re-reading the thread it looks like you referenced above as being part of a trailering package.. as the limited premium mentions trailering I assume that’s it.

Yes it’s part of the limited premium package. Visibility sucks out the back with the tinted windows, head rests, and heaters in the glass. The digital is awesome.

Got it. You’ve been a huge help - more than I could get from Toyota or any of my local dealers. Thanks again!

Toyota 1234, you have been very helpful in taking the time to clarify. For me spending $60K on a vehicle is stressful enough without knowing what I'm paying for. This is why I join theses forums,
