Is the seat in the new Tundra actually smaller than the previous Tundra? Has anyone actually measured them for comparison? I have watched a couple of videos and read reviews where it has been noted that the bottom of the seat is short or not as long.

    Thanks,

What kind of difference are we talking about? I have long legs and would prefer the platinum with leg extension if needed, but the limited will suit my needs in all other categories for less.

I suggest you sit in the new tundra and then you will know if it works for you. People have said they are shorter and have a feeling of less support under thighs/legs. A measurement of the seats is really not going to help you, comfort is relative and everyone's body is different. Sitting in one for more than a couple minutes will tell you what you seek.

I agree, that has been impossible so far. Dealerships are all 30 miles away and while I have ask, none have contacted me to let me sit in one yet and when I'm close I drop by but they seem to be like unicorns around here.

I've read the back seat is deeper (20" on the 3rd gen, 18" for the 2gen), at least on the double cab. Not sure on front seats.

I went and measured 2nd and 3rd gen seats. Measurements are depth by width.

    2nd gen 21”x21.5”
    3rd gen 22”x20.5”

So the seat is longer but narrower. I also noticed the bolster is a lot flatter on 2nd gen. 3rd gen seat bolster sticks up like 3”. So that gives the perception that 3rd gen seat is a lot smaller than 2nd gen.
