    Continuing from other thread…

It’s amazing how a little trimming looks like a lot of trimming in a pic.

Thanks brother, I like the line. We will see when I put my bumper back on, but I cut it before a tad and wanted a more defined look so cut again.

Anyone here ever use a super capacitor jump starter? I'm thinking about getting one but I didn't see any with an air compressor built into it.

Supposedly some are better than others since they keep their charge better.

Hey @shifty` or anybody else, is this nitro cleaner roughly the same as deoxit? I have a Yamaha receiver that the volume knob doesn't work on. Thinking I've got nothing to lose giving it the juice.

Hot glued some temporary gray off color edge trim on the cut line. Put the bumper back with not much cure time on the clock. Living on the edge.

Thank you very much @Darkness . I think you got the same memo I did. The front is less subtle, but not stupid yet. I have a terrible idea though…

I'd be careful. Deoxit F5 (Faderlube) cleans and lubricates potentiometers. Nitro cleaner will strip any lubrication out. If the volume control is a standard potentiometer, the nitro cleaner could ruin it. Some volume controls are light choppers and quit due to the build up of dust and other crud. The nitro cleaner might get rid of the crud, but it could also damage the lens on the light source and light receiver.

Good call, thanks. I'm gonna get some deoxit then. I also have a crc contact cleaner but I hear a lot of guitar guys swear by deoxit. Might as well get a can.

Not to detract from any emergency any of you may have/had.
I have noticed as I get older that some emergencies directed toward me are not my emergency.

I don't know if snatching is broke for sure, but they said they were calling everyone in. Dayshift included. Something must be mega boogered.

This is how it was at the last place. Doesn't seem to be the case here yet.

Getting additional OT on a 2-2-3 rotation is "difficult." So I'm happy to go in for $45 an hour

Oh. Let's say we get done in 30 minutes. That's automatically 4 hours because I'm a "call in." So theoretically, they might be done by the time I get there. Still 4 hours.

I've got a lot in common with a lot of my coworkers so that helps, but I'm still hesitant to work on these big ass machines coming from little machines.

Pretty much on flashlight duty while I still learn where everything lives. Lol

You gotta imagine these machines are twice the size of a CSX locomotive so... little scary crawling around oily ass metal to get to a bad sensor or to clean something etc.

But I bet your killing it at shining the light!!!! Again this new kid just sleeps at the shop after coming in late, no one tells him what he needs to do so he just sits. I was worked sooooo damn hard as a newbie!! 110 degree heat at a job site that wasn’t air conditioned and had to drive back in a work truck with no Ac.
