I’m not terribly happy with the wireless charging tray. It’s fine. It’s whatever. But it is not fast. Wireless charging is too slow compared to a direct connection.

In my recently sold 4Runner, I used the ProClip mounts for years. Hard wired it behind the dash, under the center console, to a 12 volt socket.

I’d like to do that again but want to consider options beyond the ProClips.

    What are y’all using?

Please - no suggestions to just use a cord and plug it into the 12 volt socket. Not interested. I hate having cords dangling around my cabin. Only interested in a clean, wired install.

Hmmm. I like the look of that.

This charger will charge an iPhone 12/13 at full speed, like an Apple magsafe charger?

I’d need to find a way to wire it behind the dash but that shouldn’t be too hard.

Looks like it runs off a USB plug.
You could wire something small like this to a 12 volt plug and keep it behind the dash.
Drill a hole in the dash wherever you mount it and run the power wire thru it..

    I hate exposed wires too.
I have a console wireless charger but it gets damn hot...

Offroam mount. Amazon MagSafe charger. Wire run thru air vent to usb charger in console. I can’t handle wire showing.

Yeah it's magsafe and just a usb plugged in right below it with a slim usb cigarette/12v adapter with extra wire shoved up behind the dash through an extra hole. It's super sleek and useful. I basically upgraded my phone to get magsafe so I could add this charger. Phone goes there every time I get in the truck.
