Just put on my wheels from my old Tacoma.
Wheels: Relation Race Wheels (RRW) RR4-Vs. 17x9. 0 offset. 5.00” Backspacing. Tires: Falken Wildpeak A/T3W LT285/75R17. 34” tires.
Found out these tundras have M14x1.50 lugs (tacomas had M12x1.50) so I had to pick up new lugs.
They fit like Toyota was planning for people to be stuffing larger tires in there. Had to remove the front mudflaps and tuck back the wheel well Liners.

Right on looks good. I got the rr7 and it’s -12 offset may poke a bit too much for my liking. But I guess we will see need to get the damn truck first 4th in line for a allocation for a white limited.

Those chrome inserts on the bumper annoy the hell out of me. I don’t understand Toyota.

The chrome inserts are annoying. I have the SR5 TRD OR so it has the chrome hulk hogan mustache. I plan on wrapping it in gloss black to match the other black accents, like the mirrors and door handles.

I love RRW wheels but hoping for a less aggressive offset offering from them.
I am thinking your modification had to do with no level/lift and the 0 offset?

…saying so because my 295/70/18’s on stock suspension and factory OR 18” wheels allowed me to keep my mudflaps and no liner pinning (no rubbing whatsoever)

I wanted a faster vehicle so I also bought a Chevy SS... because 4 door sedans with big V8’s are hilarious.
    Hmmm….. I like it on 17”s.

Rubbing happened at fully pinning the wheel left/right or in reverse. So ya the rrw wheel played a big part in effecting that.

the other thing I’m not seeing people talk about is coilover compression. These tires fill that wheel well so I’m sure bigger bumps will make it rub the inside of the wheel well more as the suspension cycles.

It’s very tight on the rotors. Like I mean millimeters of clearance. If someone’s not paying attention and throwing on 17s with wheel weights in the wrong spot, they’d get jammed on the caliper.

Good news is the back ones are easy to pop off and since its in with the black rear bumper, will be easy to sand and paint. I'd go with a flat black :)

Well I guess the full size tire fits under the truck as a spare. Very tight and had to do some maneuvering to get it up there.

Also a shot I took to see if that piece of the suspension would rub the spare when cycling.

Does the OEM spare steel wheel have a tpms sensor in it? @jgoliath

Those look really good. Im surprised that in some pics they seem sucked in on 9" wheels. Same tires on my 8.5's don't look that way to me. Maybe just camera angle.

Those have a lot of poke but looks good! Surprised you had to take off the mud flaps. I stuffed full 35x13.5s on my Pro and they barely touched the flaps at full lock. The Pro is an inch higher in the front but I didn’t think it made that much difference. I guess I was wrong.
