I’d assume he’s talking about the RRW wheel above. Not too sure why he said “till they actually make a rim for the new gen”. Our truck comes with the most common bolt pattern on the road! Wheels are all over the place and in almost every width and offset wanted. It’s a blessing and a curse to have so many choices.

They are the 7’s and -12 offset and 17’s

I said till they make one for the new gen as in RRW. I know there are plenty of brands that make a “rim for the new gen” but im referring to RRW specifically. I really like the style of the 7 and having it be a hybrid beadlock is a huge plus. Most people would not want a -12 or -24 offset wheel (that’s what they currently make). These rims are technically for the Tacoma but since the new tundra has the same bolt pattern and can fit 17’s these will/should fit. But I’d personally like to see a 18 with 0 offset or other variety to meet peoples needs.

I get it and it makes sense, Toyota has never required a lot offset to move out. I understand some wheels won’t have the offset you’re looking for as well. The cool thing is all wheels are only made by a couple of manufacturing companies. Which means most wheels are the exact same except subtle differences for copy right stuff. Take a look at the Black Rhino Sandstorm. It’s made in a 17x8 +30 and +10.

That’s one thing I don’t know, is the factory offset on these new guys. I’ve been lazy and haven’t pulled one of mine or crawled underneath it yet. I’ll do that later when I’m off shift.

This looks really good. I plan to do the same tire size but with Westcott's 3/1 lift and Method 310's or 312's 18x9. Should look good with a black truck.

Am I reading it right that the last photo is with the RC level only?

    Looks great!

Looks fantastic! Any chance you could take some measurements from the center of the wheel to the top of the wheel well? I have the RC level kit but I'm somewhat hesitant to put it on. I want a little rake if possible, at least an inch or so.

    yep!

I could but I’m not sure how accurate that would be regarding the overall rake of the vehicle since we don’t know if both wheel wells are on a level plane if that makes sense. I think it would be better just to throw a level on the top of the bed rail or measure the height at front and back of the bed rail?

If you look at the last photo it’s very close to level. Possibly ever so slightly higher in the rear.

Yea that makes sense, you're right. I can definitely see the rake in your pics. I called RC and they said the tundra they used for their website to show off the lift, is approx 3/4"-1" higher in the back.

That’s what I heard too (slight rake which I like).
I just don’t know if I care for (the report of having to) trim/cut the bolts on the factory strut for the RC install which limits going back to stock or selling them…for that purposes I was gonna wait and see how Wescott turns out or otherwise at a later date.

    This ride looks great though…congrats

My motegi MR150 wheels came today but no tires or truck to mount them on yet sadly. They are 17x8.5 +18. On my bathroom scale they weigh 23.9 lbs. not too bad!

not that I've seen, I'm betting it would poke out a tiny bit but very little. Should look pretty flush if I had to guess.

I would have bought +25 if that was an option for the wheels I bought. I think it will be a very good fitment without being too brodozer

Question fellas, what are the wheel stud specs on the 2022? Are they 12x1.5? If so is the Tacoma the same size nuts?

Which nuts did you go with? I need to grab a set for my new wheels as discount tire said there won't be enough room in their lug holes for factory nuts with a socket.

Any chances you could take a photo from far enough back to see the entire front end or back end? Want to put the same rubber on my 22 LTD TRD OR but was looking at the Nitto’s and deciding on size. Don’t want to have to trim/remove anything but want a wider look on factory rims…until I buy new rims that his.

I mentioned in another thread that I am planning to do a leveling kit (1.75” - 2” seems right) and 35s (maybe the Maxxis Razr MTs) - but I wanted to keep the wheels. They are the 20” TRDs that came with the OR package on my 1794.

Any thoughts on this plan generally? Will those wheels look good/right with 35s? Anyone try this yet and have pictures? (I’ve been searching for it, but haven’t found)

2 pics of truck below for reference (1 new and 1 I had posted before)

Check out the Westcott Designs Preload Collar kit. You’ll easily be able to clear 35’s with that. Not sure how doable it’d be with a 2” level kit.

35’s look good with the 20” TRD wheels look good.

Search for the Red tundra with the TRD lift kit from sema- same wheels and 35x12's for reference

35's are clearing on stock suspension and for sure with aftermarket wheels, want to say I saw one or two on factory wheels with no lift
