Vinyl wrap/chrome delete shops ?

Looking for a place to vinyl wrap/chrome delete my grill surround and front bumper ends. So far I've got two quotes back, one for $550 and one for over $800! Totally ridiculous for the small amount of work. I asked the second shop why so much and they said it would take them two days and lots of man hours. What the actual fuck?

I've had work done in other states for literally a fourth this cost, is this a Colorado thing or have i just not found the right shop yet?

 

For example, google brings up tons of place like this that knock out chrome deletes for $50 each piece. I don't mind paying for quality work that lasts but there's no way it should take two full days to do a grill and bumper caps.

I couldn’t believe what I was told down here in Florida. Similar story. One shop said he wouldn’t even give me a number because they wouldn’t touch it. I still to this day don’t understand. The other shop said something around 1k, I laughed in his face & bought the parts off eBay.

 

Not sure if you're near Eagle, Colorado but a member here does that for a living.

Wish I was closer, I'm in Erie so that's a five hour round trip. Thanks though for the suggestion.

 

Yea, I'd rather spend another $400 and get the painted OEM parts, but hopefully I can find a reasonable shop somewhere.

 

Luckily there’s a dealer on eBay that’s on the other side of the state from me, so I got OEM and didn’t get killed on shipping. Good luck on your chrome deleting journey

 

You could try having the parts linex’d. I did that with my bumper ends. Still not super cheap but way more durable and looks pretty awesome. The local linex shop in Colorado Springs did my bumper ends, color matched, for $450. They said they do plastic as well. Just a thought.

 

Thanks but I'm looking to have everything color matched. If they want that much for two bumper ends I'm guessing they'd want $1000 to do everything and I'd just go with the OEMpaintedparts deal at that price.

 

I understand. That’s what I did for the hood bulge and grill surround, just factory parts. They did color match the bumper ends, silver sky metallic, but yeah it is pricy. Good luck!

 

Doesn't Sparks have the paint matched everything for about the same price? The paint matched doors and mirror caps are only $250ish, same with the front paint matched Pro grill. idk about the bumper caps

 

I get my stuff done at Forged Auto Styling in Arvada.
