Last seat installed! The interior looks amazing, especially for a 14 year-old pickup. Next I need to reupholster the center console, steam everything for wrinkles, and finally wire up the seat heaters.

It helps when I look down to see how slow the b-hole in front of me is going, to remember to try to be nice and chill out

The seats were a bit over $1k from Canada Seat Skins because I wanted real leather and a custom design but you can get plain black mostly leather seats for like $400-500 on eBay. Probably took me 20-25 hours to install but I don't know what I'm doing and there are no instructions. I just work on it a couple hours at a time while watching TV at night. Paying someone to install it isn't too much but I've found the work very satisfying.

Aftermarket rims, added fogs, new headlights, led brake light housings, cargo cover, nerf bars, bilstein shocks and coil overs, k&n drop-in filters, yellow sumo springs, Icon RXT leaf springs, after market 1” shackles, forged upper control arms, 3” spacer lift soon
Installed some extra leds into the grille. Tapped the fog lights with some t taps. Got a bracket for above the license plate for another one but not in any hurry.

It wasn’t what I did too it, it’s what I did with it.

Pulled a cargo van out of the ditch yesterday coming back from the grocery store. Hooked my tow strap to him and my hitch and put her in 4lo.

I’ve got a video of me pulling up to him in my dash cam. I’ll add a photo of that screenshot in a bit when I take my gf to work.

We had a good powder snow of about 4 - 5” before we got sleet and freezing rain.

A few days ago I hardwired radar detector (pics above) and floor lights together and that was dumb bc my radar detector only came on with floor lights aka door lights.

today I re-wired to a cigarette lighter wire and here’s pics of floor lights and cupholders lights lol Amazon specials

Picked up some 37" KO2s, ORW will install the BMCs next week and this week I need to flatten those pinch welds + shave the front bumper.

If they don't fit after that... then looks like I'll have to return them and wait months for some 35s to come in. I've already ordered some 35s which are on back order.

That came out way better. Thanks for the tip!

Does that box just sit in the storage compartment like that? How does it sound under the seat? Is there enough space for full extension? Is it muffled or pretty clean?

I'm in the process of planning a system for my truck, and haven't decided where the sub will go yet. I have the storage box with the top...debating maybe just removing it.

Below is a couple pics for how it sits now that I’m done; the first pic before was just testing the wiring. I trimmed the inside of the storage box some with a dremel to make the sub sit flat. Seats can still lay flat with just enough room to spare, and I have the sub facing down to prevent damage to the cone. With seats down you wouldn’t know it’s there till the music starts. I keep the storage box top over the amp’s side but the sub’s side doesn’t have enough room so I took it out.

Sound is better than I expected: hits hard, clean and clear throughout the cab (sub is 10 inch). Bass hits a tad bit harder in the back seat because that’s where the sub is, but overall feels just like my friends’ cars with subs in the trunk. I also have a knob up front to control the sub level on the fly.

Nice, I like that setup a lot. My plan is to have a rather small class-D amp (5-channel) running the whole thing, so that should help keep some storage space in the under-seat compartment as well. I may even just locate it under the passenger seat, so I could probably keep even more.

What brand/model is the sub and how big is the box? *Went back and looked, see it's a Pioneer - did the box come with the sub? Might be time to think about getting a little creative and fiberglass a custom enclosure to fit exactly in the compartment without any trimming...although that would limit the facing of the sub to up instead of down, but it might be worth taking the time to do and utilize *all* the potential space inside that compartment more efficiently.

The sub is a 10 inch Pioneer TS-SWX2502.
Here’s a link that’ll give you all its specifications and dimensions. (18-3/4"W x 5-7/8"H x 12"D). Bought mine on eBay.

    https://www.crutchfield.com/S-q2oXWfxciA8/p_130TSX2502/Pioneer-TS-SWX2502.html

The sub came already in a sealed enclosure. It has a lip on the side with the cone to keep the cone from laying directly on a surface. I just have a mono amp because I left my speakers routed to my aftermarket head unit, so the amp’s only job is to power the sub. I might move it under the passenger seat one day but I do like how accessible it is now for making any gain/power adjustments.

Gotta bang her up in order to fit 37s. BMC is scheduled for Monday.

I ordered some POR-15 and 3M Panel bonding adhesive, that trash arrives on Thursday so I'll seal up those points.

Hi national tire and wheel? Can you post a link? Discounts website says "1-5 business days" but it's incorrect. They called General Tire directly and they don't even have an ETA for 35s

I need to do BMC soon.
I have 37s on with 6” lift and rub the cab mounts.
I bought the Relentless Fabrication pieces and plan to weld them in as soon as I have time and energy to spare.

    Question:
What is all the metal banging and panel bonding stuff for?
I wasn’t planning to do that unless I need to.
    Thx

I'm using the same subwoofer (Pioneer TS-SWX2502) powered by a Pioneer GM-D8601 amp. Many people have commented how good it sounds and can't believe it's only a 10". I just bought the rear underseat organizer. I plan on doing the rear seat flip down mod and mounting the sub and amp to the back wall so I have all the storage capacity available from the organizer.

Banging out the metal to get as much clearance as possible, the panel bonding stuff is just to make sure rust doesn't start on the spots that have been exposed.

I have the ironman4x4, 3.5 inch lift so I'm not that high up. It's my camping truck and in no way my dd

I was gonna do the same with my amp, I just didn’t have access to an angle grinder at the time. I’ll be curious to see how the sub fits back there; it seemed like it may be too tight of a fit so I didn’t even consider it honestly

Ooooo....I'll have to take a look at that. I know I've read of the mod over the years but never really paid it much mind. I guess there's space there to be found if you're so inclined. I have to watch out so that it doesn't impact the area in the back for the doggos though :D

I'll throw in a plug for the Clazzio covers as well (I used the Tacoma World code to get a decent deal - $498.99 delivered for the perforated leather covers). I only have the rear ones on right now, as the temp dipped here in WI and has stayed a little too low to do much work outside. Which figures, because I'd sure as heck like to get the front heaters and covers in there! They're a little less wrinkly (shipping folding) now that they've been in there for a while, but I expect that once things warm up again they'll work out the kinks on their own.

I had looked at the Coverking ones as well but decided to splurge a little on the leather.

Question: did you pull the plugs for the headrests when installing? I haven't figured out why quite yet, but the headrest posts are a little tight going back in, to the point where I needed to tap them with a mallet to get them to seat. I can't imagine removing the posts and reinstalling them changed anything, but I guess maybe the tabs that held them in the plastic tubes inside the seats maybe bent a little or something?
