    Could it be fallout/rail rust? Tends to be in the lower half of the vehicle, small spots? This is more noticeable on white but either a clay bar or iron remover takes care of it with a bit of elbow grease but isn’t too difficult.

    The other advantage of 040 is that touch up painting is much easier than with other colours, especially the metallics. I have just used the pen from the dealer and can’t even find some spots I know I have addressed.
