Thanks so much for all the info. Did $1880 include the LSD?

Any good deals on 5.29 gears and LSD?

Best I could do was my Powertrax Grip Proon Amazon for $587. I got their last one and price is up to $773-ish since they’ve relisted. I have an industry friend that ordered my gears and full install kits. Paid his cost, which is well below the $1,435-ish that you’ll find online. I was a little over $1,600 for all of the parts. Install will probably be close to that again…

Looking at the 5.29 gears from sdhq they offer REM polishing.

Is that beneficial for avoiding potential noise from the gears and help with longevity?

Not in my case. I purchased REM polished Revolution 5.29s. My understanding is that a break in period isn't necessary on REM polished gears. Still, I somewhat followed a regular break-in procedure. Took it back to the shop for fluid change at 1k miles. After 10k miles or so, I have a very slight whine at low speed deceleration. Doesn't bother me at all. Can't speed to longevity, but I have confidence they will last the life of the truck. 5.29s are awesome!

Get a powertrax LSD while you're at it. Or lockers if you need them.
