I purchased a 2000 Access Cab earlier this year, it was much harder than expected to find a nice set of OEM floor mats. I have the the gray interior with the bench seat. I was able to snag a set of (light gray) OEM floor mats last week. Right after I purchased them, someone near me posted a set of first gen floor mats but they were a slightly darker gray. I went ahead and picked them up as well since I had trouble finding any for a while. Were there multiple sets of interiors on the first gen access cabs? Which ones were suppose to match the gray interior (neither looks bad in the truck)

There should be a sticker on your door jamb that has your interior color code. I'm honestly not sure how many variations of gray there were.

    Sticker should look like this,

Both sets of mats have the same part number listed PT548-34050. Also I looked at the door tag it looks like it just corresponds to “gray cloth interior” with 60/40 seats.

The lighter colored mats are the same color as what's in my interior, and I have a Tan interior. I would think the darker gray would work with your interior.

All stock except for the hitch, a purest. Original owner
I would go with the darker ones, they look nicer and won't be obvious when they get a little dirty

I came up with a list back in '15 for OEM floor mats for the double cab (dbl check for accuracy) -

    PT548-34040-11 '04-'05 Light Charcoal
    PT548-34040-12 '04-'05 Dark Charcoal
    PT548-34050-11 '05-'06 Light Charcoal
    PT548-34050-12 '05-'06 Dark Charcoal
PT548-34062-11 '06 Light Charcoal Daryl Waltrip

Thanks, when I looked on the back of the mats I don’t see the last 2 digits. I’m guessing that is the color designation. These seem to fit the access cab perfect I would have thought they would be a different part number than the double cab.

Great find. If you decide to sell the lighter colored ones, I would be interested. I’ve been looking everywhere for them. 2000 Access Cab.

I actually like the darker ones compared to the lighter ones. I would not be opposed to getting rid of them. I’m not necessarily looking to make money, got anything cool to trade?

My truck has the dark grey. I looked for a replacement front that didn't have the typical heel hole in it for about a year and finally gave up. Bravo on managing to score yours in such great shape. I missed out on a pair on eBay a couple months back. Full set went for around $60. Then I saw not long after the seller re-listed - I assume they reneged on the sale because they didn't get enough - and they sold for twice that next go-round. If I could find a driver side in dark gray for my '06 AC in that condition I'd be willing to drop at least $35-40 on it!

Does anyone know if the OEM floor mats are still available for a 2002 Tundra access cab? I tried searching but no luck

Yes, trucks getting old. They even stopped making the catch-all mats I likes. Was a type of carpet but could wash off with a hose. And went up the sides a little.

It is not. The main takeaway everyone should have from this zombie thread: There are no more OEM floor mats available for the 1st Gen Tundras, they haven't been in production for years. This has been the case since at least 2017, you'll find hundreds of forum posts on the internet over the last 4-5 years of folks looking for any parts outlet having them.

Your best bet is hitting fleabay, but even then they're scarce and go north of 100-200$ in "passable" shape.

Unfortunately, nobody really makes a great replacement floor mat either. Weathertech has a less-than-stellar fitment for the 2000-2006 Tundras. Husky liners offer inferior coverage and less spill protection, I personally like Weathertech's design more. The one APAC-sourced re-pop I found looked to e pretty cheap/generic.

You see my last post above? Almost a year ago. I've had a series of keyword searches up on eBay and Craigslist since then. I've gotten less than 10 hits in that timeframe, and only 3 were the right dark charcoal color for me. Mine were better than 1 of those - I really just need the driver's side. I started looking several months before that reply. More than 2 years I've been hunting. I settled on Weather Tech, but begrudgingly. I've also been watching OfferUp and NextDoor, just in case ...

This reminds me that I need to bug my PO as I gave him the carpeted mats when I sold him the truck. I bet he still has them in his garage. I went with the all weather ones from the day I bought it and I think I even wrapped them in a garbage bag.

it might actually be a crime to take them out of the plastic and use them at this point. But at least they would be OEM.

my all weather ones need serious repair to be useful again. They are beat up.

Back in the beginning before there was light, there were only 3 interior mat colors. Light Grey, Tan and Light Blue.

Then when the Metallic Gray came out, it all changed. There was yet another color. Dark Grey.

Anything from 04 and up I'm hazy on what was available.

Confirmation my PO tossed the mint, never used carpeted floor mats in the trash at some point. Hah. Oh well, that's how the cookie crumbles.

The coveted mats were supposedly the 'all weather' thick rubber color-matched floor mats you could buy as a toyota accessory.

Strangely i never bought them since I'm content with my original floor mats.

There was a front set of the light grays up on fleaBay in December for $50 shipped. I was going to come here and post in case anyone was interested, but by the time I finished driving to my parents house for Christmas a few hours later, damn things sold already.

Yeah, very nice. I may see if my yard guy will take silly money, he has all weathers. Maybe he'd trade for my trashed ones and $300. I wonder.

I'm not a huge fan of my Weathertech mats. Fitment is pretty shoddy on our trucks for the pricetag they want to charge.

Has anyone tried later gen Tundra Oem mats? Are any close enough? Or is it a lost cause?

I can't really picture the front footwell changing in any significant way, can you? The same for the rear if it's still an AC Tundra.

I think that near the front section by the pedals it gets pretty skinny and doesn't cover up the whole width of the floor.
If I remember right @Tundra2 has 2nd gen mats in his AC.
