Looks cool but I’ve only used a standup one in the past with tent like poles and setup. This looks a lot easier to setup.

Don’t need this in a travel trailer lol

I have the Tuff Stuff one, which looks identical to that one except for the fabric color. Very handy and super easy to deploy and pack up.

$250 on their website. I think I got it on sale for around $200. After looking closer at the pics of the kickass one, I think the hardware and hinges on the Tuff Stuff are nicer. Not sure if it's worth $100 more though if you're only using it every once in a while. I looked at the Alucab version and it was really well made and sturdy, but it's like $450. Couldn't justify that.

So, CVT is currently running a sale for $200 on their shower awnings. I have their tent and love it but they're supposed to upgrade the shower awning which is why it is so "cheap" rn. Anyone else hear of what they're supposed to do to the new shower awning?

Update, new awning from CVT will be slightly bigger. Other than that, the same exact design. I decided to pull the trigger since they are only $200 rn.

One of these into the hitch and you're set. Shouldn't be too hard, or too expensive. Me, I just use a 5 gallon bucket, a tarp and my lantern stand.

Those portable tents have another major advantage over the vehicle mounted enclosure: you can set them up anywhere, instead of taking a dump in the middle of camp, two feet from where people are cooking breakfast.

I agree. They are so easy to pack and take very little room. I actually use 2 for camp. One for shower and the other for the head placed further away. So even if i move the truck and RTT for whatever reason, the pop ups stay in place for the duration.

I use a CVT Shower room. Works well, easy to use, matches my RTT. No complaints.

LOL, luckily my 10mm is still there. However it was the 13 mm that went missing. :)

We keep one of these in the back of my truck under the tonneau all the time. These are great especially if you have little kids. We use it all the time with this collapsible toilet

Potty Training Seat for Toddler Kids, 3-1 Portable Collapsible Toilet Seat with Storage Bag, Anti-Slip Design and Splash Guard, Potty Chair for Travel Home Car Camping Use (Blue) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08LMVBGHJ

Kid needs to go at the beach or parking lot of LEGOLAND? No problem. Just pop the tent and throw in the toilet. Wife has used it when bar hopping and a little too skeeved out to use a public restroom. I have an experience too. Right after my cholecystectomy and still getting my gut under control; I was out for a walk with my wife when my stomach turned. I told my wife “run home and get: the truck, towels to put on the seats, and a change of clothes”. Sat there at a park with a beautiful view and let it all run out. Luckily was wearing compression shorts so everything was contained. Wife showed up and opened the tent. Threw it over the top of me since the bottom is open. Cleaned myself up, put on my new clothes and walked out of the tent like nothing happened. Great investment. Never know when you’ll need it and better to have and not use than to not have and need it.

I have a cheap Amazon privacy tent, and ended up making a PVC frame that goes inside to keep it upright even in the wind. For showering, several years ago I had one of the 2-gal bug sprayers (new) that I converted into a shower sprayer bottle. I ended up getting the Lunatec sprayer for a nalgene. It's not an overhead shower but it works when I'm hunting. I usually just bring a pair of board shorts and shower very quickly since it's usually cold. Sort of like a canteen shower when I was in the military. Use a little to wet yourself down, soap up and start rinsing, top to bottom. It works and takes up no space. For dropping a deuce, I welded up my own "bumper dumper". While I can tear a hole in my privacy tent and put the hitch insert thru the hole, I usually park the back end of the truck away from the road, prop up a chair or even an extra tarp over the back of my truck shell, and take care of business. I line it with a paper bag inside of plastic bag, with a scoop of dirt. When i'm done, I dig a hole, pull the paper bag out and bury it. It works and is way better than squatting in the woods.
