I have come around to the look of the white lettering out. My next set of tires will have the white letters out.

It depends on the truck color, and also need to be part of a mod package. I would not do it on a standard truck with OEM steelies, but with aftermarket wheels it looks good.

I looked for a WLO Pic Thread last week with the same question! I think it depends on the color of the truck, I have the Barcelona red and with wheels and emblems blacked out i think the WLO looks nice!...WLO FTMFW

Hide them...the white facing out looks cheap.

I have Black facing out but I like the White better. In the end, it depends on a couple of factors. What do you like? What works with the truck color best & lastly Which tire are you going with? Some manufactures do not have a good looking white wall. BFG looks good. Anything with just an outline of the lettering looks like ass.

White letters out is starting to come back - at least on performance road cars. Still don't think they look good on trucks tho.

Black letters should always be out. It’s in all the manuals since 1995 and makes the truck go faster. :D

White out if it’s a two wheel drive, black out if it is a four wheel drive weekend off roader.

I just got some BFG Trail Terrain TAs for my 19 Crew Ltd. I was at first not even questioning if I should put the white letters out. Then I started reading everyone's opinions. Well, I stuck with my gut instinct and love it... They're dirty from the drive home, but I think they give it more of a Truck look.PXL_20220204_223340261.jpg

White out on my white F150. I used Black Magic Bleche White to keep them white while I cared about keeping it clean.

I keep the white letters in as it’s one less thing to keep looking good.

I think it comes black from the factory…., I will leave them as they come.

It’s a tough call, with rear wheel drive V8, traction control off, white looks good out. If you have TRD exhaust ya white out, fun.

White letters out on a truck is like socks with sandals or buying a corvette when you turn 50.

I'm 66. As in Route 66. Anyone remember that tv show? Can I buy a Corvette now? My Glacier White Frontier has DynaPro AT2's. Even though the WSW would look ok, I still went with BSW's. I don't mall crawl.

White out gives the wheel well appearance some depth. Especially if you have black wheels, putting the black letters out really makes everything blend together and look like one big black hole. The white lettering breaks that up a bit. Just my $0.02.

White in looks kinda like that time in 4th grade when your pants were getting too short. Just do it right if they have RWL. BTW "real" truck tires don't have RWL to begin with.:crapstorm:

Don't waste your money, especially on the new C8s. If you're gonna spend that kinda cash get a Kia Stinger GT2 AWD... I swear its my favorite car.. I'm still in the honeymoon phase 2.5 years later.

Don't believe me? Go on a test drive and try the launch control... hehe.. It was designed by Audi and BMW engineers.

Not buying a Vette. Ha! My older brother who is 72 has a nice 2017 Vette except I need to go to Oregon to drive it.

I love how the OP starts this great debate then completely ghosts the thread… you asked for opinions, got 60 of them, now tell us what you chose! (2 years later, I understand)

Personally I like the white letters out on my older classic trucks. The new ones it’s a case by case basis… I’ll agree that the ones that only have a white outline are a no go. Gotta be a solid raised white letter… and it is a nod to an older generation for sure, although the tuner crowd is all about painting their white letters on tires these days, so I guess what’s old is new :)
