T-Rex grill....inputs?

Looking for inputs on this one. I am looking for a mesh grill so that I can put my Rigid leds behind it like I did on my 2013.

How do the lights perform behind the grille?

Why not the ZROADZ or the Stealth that come with light cut outs.

No. That one was made by GrillCraft which has since closed down.

 

They perform very well with a mesh grill. Since I have the honeycomb there is no way to really line them up to get good performance out of them. I paid alot of money for them so I'll use them somehow lol. I don't like ditch lights so that's out lol.

 

Understandably so. If you don't mind them behind the grille I think it will be fine.

 

Love my forward and rear facing auxillary lights on my headache rack. Turns night into day with the flip of a switch or two. Makes the truck really tall overall though, in the 8' ballpark at this point. Back glass protection and long cargo were my primary concern, the lighting is just a really nice bonus!

 

I could remove the bar in the center of the bumper, mesh that opening, and then put the 4 of them there.

Another option would be behind the louvered panels in the lower portion of the bumper.

I need to try some photoshop skills lol.

 

I have a 30” Rigid lightbar in that same area and it works well.

 

Temp installed 2 behind the lower bumper louvers. I have to make longer brackets to set them level with the ground I stead of pointed down but this gives an idea of how it looks. I'm still.leaning towards the grill at some point.

 

I just ordered it. I got a pretty descent price and free shipping. Should look pretty sweet with my Barcelona and the 4 Rigid pods behind it.

 

Those mesh grills were popular 20 years ago. IMO not so good looking.

 

Depends on how the rest of the truck is set up. I will have some lighting behind it.

I think it looks good. If I didn’t already have an aftermarket grille, I’d totally go for their all black one.

 

Yeah i saw the black. The chrome rivets break it up a little, and they will match the bolts on my flares. It will just have the sensor emblem on it. The MetalX will come off.
