Yeah. I would love a diesel flatbed.

 

Had 5.29’s, bump stops and BMC installed/done today, now to break-in the gears. Bumper is in powder coat now, should be going on in a few weeks.

Next up is getting the bike mounts into the bed, bumper on, and lights rewired to the switch pro.
After that:
- New leaf pack (damn Alcan’s)
- Decide on wrap vs ceramic coat after talking to wrap shop today
- Snorkel
- Weboost
- finalize plans for 3 long distance trips!

Installed the C4 hybrid bumper. Waiting on Deaver springs, CBI skids and I’m ditichung the Rigd ultra swing and going with the Wilco this year to improve departure angle.
I’ll also be relocating the spare to the bed using the Wilco mount.
I’ll grab some pics soon, it was too damn cold this weekend to work on her. But first trip is about 2 weeks out so I need to get everything back in!

 

Is the Rigd swing going to be for sale?

Off-season changes coming! Ordered the full size Alucab today.

Who’d you order through? Ok4wd? I had a chance to check it out at expo this weekend and I’ll be ordering one too.

 

I am in Denver so I ordered through Juniper Overland. My buddy owns peak to peak off-road so they will be doing the cabinets (rather than Goose Gear).

 

Nice, were you quoted a timeline? I know Rin said tundra fit kits were slated to arrive in the US in January but TinyRig at the expo said they were available.

 

They said 3 months to follow Alucab’s current canopy lead time but time will tell. I need to touch base back with Juniper, we were both in the mtns this weekend so it was email correspondence mostly.

Sweet, looking forward today seeing the alucab. I plan to get my order in next summer.

Tell me how much better life is after the 5.29s and rear locker. Im on 35s and staying in too low a gear when i am on highway and towing even light. Any impact on mpgs?

Slight impact on mpg’s but I’m running 37’s and don’t pay that close attention so who knows. I get about 8.5-9mpg through the mountain passes

 

The biggest impact is definitely not having to search for gears

 

@fundra_goes_west what Deaver leafs did you go with? I put a deposit on an AT Overland Summit a month ago so I’m now starting to save and do research on suspension.

 

How are the 37s and the SCS wheels? What did you have to do to eliminate rubbing? Not a lot of people run 37s on those wheels. I bought a set of those wheels in gunmetal but haven’t gotten tires yet. Deciding between 295 and 37s just debating on how much work I want to do.

 

I have 1000lb leafs. I weighed it on my way out for a long trip fully loaded after learning my lesson on my first pair of Alcans.

 

I had to do a CMC and an aftermarket bumper. If you may go 37’s buy once, cry once. I did the 295’s in between and they still looked small. I may go back to 295’s though because I had to take off my front sway bar with the 37’s and I just don’t like how tippy it is.

 

Fair enough. The 37s look great. Would you have been able to fit them without the bumper?

 

I don’t know. But I don’t think so. I had the factory bumper on there when I had them installed and it rubbed everything lol

 

Couple pics before she goes to get the Alucabin installed next week. She’ll be gone for a few weeks getting interior cabinetry, and full Redarc with red vision running the show

 

Any update photos? It would be nice to see a tundra with the Alucabin (besides the tan one on IG).
