Are the Power Extendable/Folding Towing Mirrors (only available on the Platinum here in Canada) considered the only 'tow mirrors' on the '22 Tundra?

When it comes to towing, how do any of you feel they would compare to the Power Adjustable Heated Exterior Mirrors that come with the SR and SR5 or the Power Folding Mirrors with the Limited (here in Canada)?

Should I expect the aftermarketers to come out with a reasonable solution if I want to save money by going for an SR5 and avoid another powered component that could just break over time?

i believe the other Canadian trims all have manual tow mirrors - gotta flip it up / extend by hand, even with power adjusting/heated?

I wasn't aware of that and haven't seen that demonstrated yet. I hope you're correct! Thank you.

I’m going into dealer tomorrow, to maybe make a purchase, I will try to remember to check the one on 5e lot & see - they have a standard limited crewmax

Ok, so I put my $$ down but as promised, I checked about the mirrors. They don’t put any tow mirror on the limited trims, not manual or power. Apparently according to service manager, Toyota won’t add them unless “designed” like the platinum is, as it has to do with the blind spot monitoring system, or some crap like that. I didn’t ask about other trims as that was what I was buying.

Thanks very much! That matches what it shows on the order sheets. Sucks, but to be expected for us Canadians.

I know, I vented mildly on sales guy for the lack of options, like tow mirrors on a truck rated for 11-12 k towing, in Canada vs options in the states

There’s a switch for the tow mirrors to extend them. Not sure if the harness connectors exist if the vehicle didn’t come with tow mirrors.

I would like to think they will be able to, it’s just buying parts and swapping them in theory.
Also, the harness connection is what would need to exist. I have no idea if the mirrors would simply be a plug & play swap if prewired in all trucks or not. Time will tell, as m sure right now ordering new mirrors would be a long wait & $$

Sorry, I tried multi quote but don’t know how it works….
I would hope they would simply be a plug & play swap.

I forgot there are more switches for lights on the switch panel on the left. Definitely need a lot of connectors and wiring. Hopefully it exists.
