TRDFerguson, I don't think the radar ready associated with the cruise control has anything to do with the PCS

I couldn’t deactivate it. Toyota will not deactivate it either. It’s an insurance liability for them if they turn it off and some happens.

Can you snap some pics for us of your steering wheel controls as well as your front end?

On my 18 SR5…PCS is listed when scrolled to the far right under the gear/settings icon. Highlight and press center • button to access sensitivity and On/Off. Does not appear in the Vehicle Settings menu.

As you can tell THinTX my screen is different than yours. I wish I knew why.

going way out on a limb here...

i think the OP may be talking about the proximity sensors and confusing them w/ the pcs. he mentions "nothing happens when i get close to something".

i do not believe the user can do anything regarding the pcs (pre-collision something or other) in the meter settings. my understanding is that it cannot be disabled.

OP, i also believe the on/off for your proximity sensors is right next to the tow/haul button, if you have tow/haul. otherwise, opposite the steering column from your back glass up/down button.

in addition, i believe that you can adjust the proximity sensor sensitivity in the meter or vehicle settings.

i know there's a lot of "i believes" in my responses, but i am fairly confident i am on the right track in answering your question.

    hope this helps.

Shackleford Rusty there is a on off setting in the vehicle settings. Mine does not have it. Look at the pics from THinTx above my last pics.

Just seeing this - if you want to tag someone, throw an @ in front of their name and they’ll get a notification.

I saw you’re squared away now and that there was a mixup in terminology, but good that it’s sorted nonetheless. But to your reply, the PCS is pre-collision sensor, not the proximity sensors that you ended up meaning to ask about. The PCS radar is used for Toyota Safety Sense and radar cruise. It’s a cool feature if you haven’t checked it out.

It’s not in the vehicle settings. Go all the way to the right, to the settings icon and just scroll down. It’s not embedded in any sub menus.
