I just bought weatherstrip glue and ran a long bead underneath the stripping. I cleaned the surface with alcohol. Haven't had it blow off yet.

Had this piece come off my 2014 in an automatic car wash. Seems to just be a cosmetic piece that covers up a seam in the body panel?

I have a 2021 Black Tundra TRDPRO. I never take it through brush-car washes as the black will show swirls. However I found a touchless carwash that has low pressure soap application and high pressure rinse off followed by high volume airdrying. Then I pull into the drying bay and hand dry the truck. However, during my 4th or 5th time using that wash I found the driver side rubber drip line dangling outside my window. It looks exactly as the original posting uploaded by the #1 post. I have thoroughly cleaned the channel and rubber. Was planning to use weather proof glue in last two feet of trim as it connects with rear rubber trim. However, after reading other posts I may use the 3M double sided tape. It sounds like Toyota still has another fix to complete. I checked my wife's new 2022 TRD limited and on her roof they did not even place the rubber trim. The rain channel is bare. I guess that is how Toyota solved the issue!!!

Mine almost got lost on the highway if not for these few inches of sticky foam on the front from the factory. If they put this down the whole strip it would have been fine. It was whipping the truck hard and didn't come off until I pulled it off because the back 80% would not stay wit zero adhesive.

This happens to me on automatic washes only.

I'm a little late to this ball game but mine is blowing off in the car wash too and it is driving me crazy! I tried to RTV it in and the RTV stuck like super glue to the channel but didn't stick to the wx stripping at all.
