Mine did…was an abyss. Decided to install two 6mm led bulbs in the lower panel below the climate control knobs and voila…

Looks much brighter in the photo than actual output.

I put a short Led strip under mine. I didn't go as bright as the OP.....it would reflect off of my tint.

Is this on all the time when the lights are on?
If so, that would drive me nuts on long distance night driving. I wish there was a way to dim the headlights HIGH gauge cluster blue light.

So clean. Mine is full of change and other various items.
    I like the lights though.

I added 2 blue front-facing LEDs in my console.
1 for the dash area, 1 for the cup holder.
Wired them into the dimmable dash light circuit..

Wholesale 12V LED Indicator Lights | Aluminum Panel Mount (oznium.com)
The blue are only 3 lumens.

    [IMG] [IMG]

I keep my dash lights very dim, and wanted the console light to be the same.
Had to solder in a few resistors inline to dim it down a little.
I should have just covered half of the lens with a tiny piece of electrical tape.

They are the blue lights in the middle, they are brighter than in the pic.
It's hard to get a pic of them on.
I need to take a pic with all the other lights off, floorboard, HU etc..

I had to go the other direction and vinyl wrap over my shifter lights to keep them from reflecting off my drivers window on dark nights. Would occasionally freak myself out thinking there were lights out in the forest.

I did the same thing but I put a variable resistor inline. I use them quite a bit. They go from 0-5k ohm with a set screw. Simple as turning the set screw to adjust how dim or bright I wanted. I am kinda jealous of my wife’s ‘21 nightshade 4Runner as the mood lighting in much better. Adding the resistor and dialing it in made me very happy. I wanted something subtle and not in your face but that’s just me.

Like the idea for the console storage under the lid, but 17 hours of life doesn't work to have on so I can see the shifter area storage.

The 17 hour life had me worried. But you get 6 and Im only using two, so I have extras. Plus I only turn it on when I need it. So they should last a long time.
