    Has anyone experienced this:

Occasionally (1 out of 10 times) I cannot change the direction of airflow (window defrost, feat, face, etc) when i first start the truck. Upon start up the heating system will be off, I always leave it in window defrsot 23C and high fan when shutting it off, I can increase the temperature afterwards and turn the fan on high but it stays stuck on window defrost even when showing a different setting on the screen. I usually keep a USB cord plugged into the port for connecting android auto to my phone, it could be coincidence but it seems when I unplug it and restart the truck everything seems to work. 21 Crewmax TRD off road

Question - when this happens, does that little screen fail to display anything for about 30-45 seconds?

If so....warranty claim. It's something called the 'servo damper solenoid' or something. If need be I can post a pic of the receipt I got from the dealership. Mine's doing the exact same thing.

The screen isnt completly blank, it displays the output setting for the airflow but no temperature or fan speed

Sorry, I should clarify...does the little screen fail to display anything *specifically when starting the vehicle*? Mine does the same thing...and I've noticed when it does, I can tell because upon starting the truck, the screen lights up but displays nothing for 30-45 seconds. Evidently it's doing a self-test when it does that.

Not off the top of my head, but I can/will look @ the invoice thing tomorrow. If it's not on there I'll call the dealership to get it.
