Warranty??

Due to the newness and complexity of the new Tundra, How many of you (that are buying) are planning on purchasing an extended warranty?? Anyone price one??

 

I’m thinking of purchasing the platinum extended warranty, I believe it’s 10years/125k miles. With this turbo engine, I don’t feel too confident in reliability, only time will tell I guess.

Correct me if I’m wrong

 

With the amount of electronics in vehicles today, you'd be a fool not to.

 

I pushed mine out to 7 years 75k, the dealer was really confused as if no one has ever not gotten the 10 year for twice as much money.

 

I plan to get one as well, not sure which duration though. I have a bad habit of not keeping cars much longer than 3 years but my goal is to actually hold on to this truck for a while.

 

Posted before but I got the 120 months/125,000 miles for $2569.00. I keep my trucks about 9 to 10 years and it's transferable. The only thing I haggled on was the 84 month Luxcare interior & exterior and got $200 off of $812

I bought the 10 yr/125k warranty through my dealer and raked him over the coals until he gave it to me for my desired price (below $2k).

Though...because of the amount of diving I do I'll burn through the mileage in 7 years instead of getting the full 10.

 

Please do your research on these warranties as prices vary greatly by dealers!! There is a thread on here regarding one of the Toyota dealers and a contact for them offering the cheapest price on these factory warranties if you wish to purchase one.

If you send a DM to @AZTundra , he will be glad to give you the best contact for the extended warranty which can be purchased from anyone. His prices less than 1/2 the quoted price (I'd check and compare this one to the one above.) I got my dealer to match the quoted price (7 year 125,000 for 1400).

I'm looking for a warranty for the old mans platinum highlander, I contacted Pederson who I got two from before with a really good deal but so far no reply, that was a while ago so the guy may be gone.

Call Jennifer at wolverine Toyota. I got a 5/125k platinum w/$0 deductible for $860. Is she gives you a better price just cancel the one you have, get it refunded, and buy from her.

 

I plan on getting a Tundra when the hybrids come out (kid is too big for the backseat of my Tacoma now). How does buying a warranty from a different location/time from when you buy a vehicle work? I didn’t know you could do that. Does it just have to be within so many days of purchasing the vehicle or something? Would you mind forwarding me her contact information? Thank you

 

you have up until the 3year/36k miles is up. So if you are at mileage 35,999 and under 36 months, you can purchase a Toyota warranty.
