It's really cold here in Wyoming. Last night as I was putting some things away my tailgate wouldn't close all the way. It would stay shut and not pop all the way open but it would have slack when moving back and forth. Like a car door when it's half way shut but still not all the way shut. I'm assuming it's because of the cold weather.

Do any of you have a remedy or have seen this before? Maybe hit it with some Free-All or WD40? Thanks.

Possibly due to the soft open gas strut used to dampen the drop of the tailgate?
